Just a quick note to say Hi and share some new items that I just listed in my shop today...they are sort of Gatsby-esque...if Gatsby went to the beach. :) Gilded ring bearer scallop shells are the ultimate beach glam...I... Continue reading

Hi Kerry! Thanks for your note! I love the Hungry Caterpillar too! I bet that makes for a cute party. For my daughter's graduation, all of the children came down the stairs with two bright peonies and presented one to each of their teachers...each teacher ended up with a bouquet by the time everyone was seated. Then the teachers made some announcements and said a little blurb about each child while presenting them with a little diploma. I think the kids had also made some coffee filter flowers to give to the parents. It was all so sweet. At the end we (the parents) presented the teachers with their cards and gave the head teacher a signed copy of "Oh The Places You'll Go" because she was leaving to go to another school this year. It's such a fun theme and there's so much you can do with it. Have fun and be sure to share your pics or ideas!!
I just shared the printable PDF for the teacher appreciation is a link to the post: Enjoy!
Last year, my daughter graduated from kindergarten, so being the party mom I am, I signed up to help with our completely over-the-top Dr. Seuss inspired graduation party. I shared my creative inspiration, the invitations, food ideas, tutorials for decorations... Continue reading

Hi Carol, I just used a regular can of spray paint...probably Krylon if I had to guess. As for the images, I scanned some from the book and found a few online, then just printed and cut them out. Hope that helps! Are you going to make one?
Hi Jenny! Sorry for the delayed response...I think this came through while I was on vacation. I don't remember there being a trick to get mine apart. I think I just popped it off the frame...there were just two short ends that held it on the top and bottom like a toilet paper roll. Hope you've had some luck with yours. Would love to see some pics of your finished project!
Thanks so much Angela! And what a great blog you have. I'm honored to be a part of it. :)
I found this image in a google search and it made me laugh...another blogger used it for the same kind of "Sorry I Dropped Off The Radar" post that I'm about to do. Great blogger minds think alike?? (Thank you... Continue reading

Hi Leslie! Congrats on the upcoming birthday...1st is such a biggie. I was so happy that I'd kept my little one alive for the whole year!! LOL But to answer your question, I used ModPodge to apply the images. Just paint a thin layer on the globe where you want the image, then place the image, smooth it out and paint another light layer over the image to seal it. I was lazy and only painted over the areas where I had put images, but you can paint over the whole globe for a nice shiny finish. Elmer's glue would work too, but it doesn't provide the nice's more matte. I guess it depends on the look you're going for. Good luck! Share some pics if you think of it. I'd love to see how yours turns out. :)

No one wants to get pinched on St. Patrick's Day for not wearing green, right? But what's a girl to do if she never wears green? The only green thing my daughter had to wear last year was a pair... Continue reading

Hi Vicky! Thanks for your note and your kinds words. I would be happy to share the card. It had the preschool name in it, so I'll try to figure out how to make a PDF with an editable field so you can customize for your son's teachers. Hope that helps! I'll drop a line on FB/Twitter when it's up. :)
Wow! 12 chickens is a lot...I can imagine that was a lot of fun, but noisy. My girls can really make a racket!! But I do love the fresh eggs and I love that my little girl is having this experience. She's a little chicken whisperer. LOL

Hi Suzy! Thanks for your note. I think finding just the right blue dress will take a bit of searching...try looking on for some great vintage options or any search engine to see what comes up. Good luck!

Morning friends! A little something to cure those post-Superbowl Monday Morning Blues... When you think of an ugly duckling, smokin' hot retro lingerie is not usually the first thing to come to mind....but it should be! When I spotted Ugly... Continue reading

I know, Leeann! It could have been very bad...not sure I would ever be brave enough to try that on a wedding gown...maybe a cocktail dress though...LOL. Thanks for your note!
