Greetings! After looking at your blog, I assume you have a connection to LAPD. I am 2nd generation, my father retired in 1995. He is in the advanced stages of Multiple Myeloma (a blood cancer).
I am sorry to hear about Ryan's current status. Keep the faith and be strong. Children are incredibly resilient. The staff at CHLA are the best! They will help Ryan find a way.
I will be doing Ironman Louisville this weekend with Team In Training, Greater LA Chapter IronTeam. We will say a special prayer for Ryan. Please let him know that we will be racing for him and wishing him all the best!

The leukemia is still there. That insidious fuckin beast won't leave our beautiful little boy alone. Ryan's doctor just called me with the results, and Ryan still has 10% leukemia in his marrow, which technically isn't much different than 20%. His leukemia is extremely resistant. The current ag...
