An insert of a letter i wrote my husband tonight who is deployed to Afghanistan for the 2nd time... enjoy. I dont know if i have ever told you this, but i knew when i came to italy to see you that i found something that i wanted in my life, i fell in love with you the moment you kissed me. Mom always told me that i would know when someone was "the one" and i did. i knew when i left after those 4 days that i wanted to marry you one day, i never said anything to you b.c i thought id scare you away but come to find out.. i didnt haha! Sitting here not having anything to do and not being able to sleep leaves me to just think. I live off of the memories we have had together and dream about the new ones. I just want to sit here and laugh with you, or have u hold me. I have tried really hard to not let this deployment thing get to me when i sit here and look at pictures of when we first started our relationship, i just hope and pray to GOD that we will always be like that, never getting out of touch with each other, i dont want to be one of those couples who are so lackadaisical with their love/relationship. I always want it to be spontaneous and new. To this day, and i know you dont think so, but i get butterflies when i see you, when u touch me i dont want u to let me go, when u talk to me, all i can hear is you and nothing around me matters, when u look at me everything else is blurry and i feel weak. Right now, i know im getting spoiled by being able to talk to you all the time and i know it wont be able to be like this after its all said and done. Basically, i love you, you know this, but its true when people say distance makes the heart grow fonder because right now i love you more than i have ever loved you before and 3 months from now i will love you more than i do right now. I want to be that laughing, smiling, gorgeous couple that people envy. I know, to me, you are perfect in every way possible, i couldnt imagine anything better or more perfect. And most likely we are that couple but i dont want to lose it. Everyone always tells me how cute we are and that you are the perfect husband, i couldnt agree more. I know i have only been home for a few days but i wake up with tears b.c i miss you by my side, this little apartment is ours and its only occupied by one person instead of the intended two. These things never get easier, i dont know whoever said that but they are wrong, its only gets harder. I miss you ridiculously and i really hope these next few months fly buy, i really need you, whether it be to laugh or just to hold my hand, i just need you.
