This is the same sweater he wore at the pre-Oscar party at the Soho House when he met Madona. How weird is it that I (and I'm sure many others) recognize the clothes he's worn at what function.

Lovely story about the connection and closeness you had with your mom. I lost my mom when I was about your ago and she was about your mom's age. I miss her still. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your sister. It's great that you have each other. Be well.

kann, you are right, he's busy with lots of projects that have been hinted about. Even if Heroes is renewed, it will be off the air until Sept. '10. But, keep in mind that, according to imdb, he's a "consulting producer" on Nashville. That gives him a certain amount of creds, but only a smalll minority will even know he's associated with it. ST filming is still at least 10 months away, at the earliest. In that business, you've got to strike while the iron is at least tepid. I just sorry he's not getting high profile appearances right now that would be seen by millions, probably more than watch Heroes at any given time.
You know, even if ZQ starting filming a real honest to god movie tomorrow, it would take a year to get to the theaters. That's assuming it would make it that far and not go straight to video. That happens to lots of movies even with very good, high profile actors, etc. My other concern is that "Lincoln" has been on Speilberg's project list for YEARS and still nothing in sight for that one. I'm wondering about how long he'll take to decide on Gershwin ,or if he ever will. I'm getting myself worried.
Just read that Chris Pine will be a presenter at the Oscars. Great for Chris. BUT, don't understand why ZQ isn't getting more exposure and a high profile awards appearance would be a good way to do that. It was... Continue reading

Hi Amber, first time on ZQC in a while and wanted to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. My mom passed away about the same age as your mother. It's a very painful thing to face the loss of someone who loved us unconditionally. I'm praying for you and your family. We're all with you in spirit. God bless.
Hearts of Space and Echoes are wonderful. Glad you enjoy them too.

I got on the page just fine. Not the first time I've visited and it is awesome. Very well done. Maybe I'm dense, but I don't see a link to sign up. I tried to login but couldn't. What am I doing wrong?

I am so sorry for your loss and your family turmoil. Anyone of these tragedies would be extremely difficult to bear, but to have them all hit in one week is overwhelming. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. It's time like this that positive vibes from others and faith can sustain you. God bless and be strong.

loyd, thank you for suggesting donating to the Red Cross. Cate, wonderful idea. ZQ is such a great animal lover and folks on the community are devoted to their pets, I'm sure this will be well supported.

Hi Toled, Where's the city you live in Ontario?
Hi Sunfell. Do you know about this: "Wind turbine blade maker LM Glasfiber Group has announced that it will lay off up to 600 workers at plants in Europe and the United States. The Danish company plans to cut a fifth of its domestic workforce - 450 employees - and to close one of its two blade plants in Little Rock, Arkansas, with the loss of 150 jobs. " Our wind division is Danish based, as well. Hard times everywhere!!! We're fortunate to have jobs.
Hi LVDA - yeah, it's one of the best jobs I've ever had. The wind industry is growing - blades, towers - everything is getting bigger, longer and heavier, so it's a big issue moving thru multiple states on our infrastructure. Every state has different permit requirements and route constraints. It sure it's boring!!! Your field of study sound fascinating, as Mr. S would say. How do you see it applicable to private media consulting??
Actually, when I go to other sites and read the horribly crude disrepectfuly posts, I am grateful to come back to ZQC where the folks are literate, considerate of each other's opinions and funny as hell. I may not post often, but I love it here.

I am transportation manager for the wind turbine division of a large German company. It’s very interesting and challenging moving wind turbine blades that are over 150 feet long from one part of the country to another.
Can you say Happy Valentine's Day in Klingon?? Thanks for taking the time to send your regards. We appreciate that!!

The big picture of Zach in grey sweat pants, Uggs and shirtless, the "big" one, there's peek of what's at the end of that happy trail...????? OMG. I gotta look at that one again right now. Giddy-Up.

This tread is why I spend every night on this community – enjoying the wonderful interaction, great conversations, openness, and of course sharing Zach-ness. I am very grateful that you’ve shared yourselves on this thread and this community. I had a crush on Leonard Nimoy as Spock when I was 16 and now that I’ve just turned 60, I find that I’m drawn to another actor playing that same role. When I saw ST, I had no idea who he was, not ever having seen Heroes. After seeing the movie, I find myself wanting to know more about him every day. I don’t have any idea why the mind and heart are attracted to someone. I’m torn between feeling foolish for expending so much energy thinking about a guy half my age, with whom I will more than likely have no real contact. But, at the same time, I feel very fortunate that he’s now an important part of my “imaginary” life. The fact that he doesn’t know it or care is irrelevant. When I joined the ZQC, I shared that I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, lived in Greentree, am of Irish and Italian decent, a product of a Catholic education and attended Carnegie Mellon University. Unfortunately, I transferred to Orlando before he graduated from high school, so I didn’t see any of his local performances. But, since I share many of the same hometown and cultural experiences, in many ways, that makes me feel a close affinity to him. As a Pittsburgher, I am very proud that he’s achieved a high level of success. I’m very happy that he is recognized as a classically trained, intelligent and hard working actor. The fact that everyone who knows him or has worked with him has only wonderfully positive things to say about his talent and goodness, brings me great delight, like their talking about a close relative or good friend. We all share our sincere feelings about him, some intellectual, some spiritual, some carnal, (I must admit, mine are a mixture of all three). I find it amazing that so many of us from diverse backgrounds and ages, values, beliefs can relate to and be moved by him. But, mostly, I am really fortunate to have met all of you. I so admire and love this community!!!

Agree. I almost never pay to seen any of the rom-coms that have come out in the last few years. Not my taste, really. And most of them are really lame and not well critically received. So, I'd rather see him in a okay drama, even if he has a supporting role, than a bad rom-com.
