Well it's that time of year and it's either you find it all too much, shopping, queuing, being impatient, rushing to three groceries stores to get all the ingredients you need for the big dinner. Then you miss one ingredient and have to leg it back to the shop again. You empty the full contents of your fridge in one day and whilst you know you cannot physically take anymore food into your round belly you have to head out and do it all again. So why do we do it ? Buy each other presents of gifts where most have to be returned to the shop. Do we enjoy this ? We do not intact it is the most stressful time of the year. Head abroad every year and make it easy on yourself. Here's a fab and easy recipe for your gingerbread men great for tree decorations. See... Continue reading

A relaxing day filled with creativity has become another duty to add to the ever growing list of chores a Mum has to do on weekend. How do we take a step back and realise we are trying to become Super mum, before it's too late. Children are just happy to be spend quality time with their parents. Continue reading

This month has been quite a strange one that's for sure. The running has defintely picked up with longer runs now , I feel very much like a Run-Forrest-Run type of runner!' All or nothing and just go flat out. ( If you have no idea what I am talking about you'll have to watch Forrest Gump). Things are better coming to the end of this month. However earlier on was a completely different story. My lovely hubby decided to run my usual route one night , as we play tag on the babysitting front , we take turns to run alternate evenings. On this night he heard a woman cry for help, as some pathetic ASBO kids decide to push a young runner into the river. Early this month had some serious ice cold temperatures and the poor lady went into shock and almost drowned. My husband lucky pulled... Continue reading

So I finally got around to completing my first long run home at home. I say this as running on a beautiful beach promenade in Californina or the white sandy beaches, whilst watching gentle turquoise blue waves lapping at the shore in the Caribbean just don't count as 'real' running.Real every day running has to be in the concrete jungle of home - nice , windy, grey wet and miserable most of the year UK. I knowI should appreciate it more, but let's face it who really loves it when it's cold , wet and windy ? We all love London immensely when it's the height of summer! Anyway I digres. I did it, I did not take up the hubby's suggestion of a ligh trunning route, I decided to go full out and run from Surbiton in to Kingston, carrying no change just in case I decided to quita nd... 10 years ago , after a few drinks too many at pub in Wimbledon , I agreed it would be a good day to' jump'. Barging in, on a conversation and 'agreeing' to something you have no idea about, really can get you into a spot of trouble. That night I ended up puting down my drink and going home early home. I woke up early the next day and drove to an airfield where I then proceed to jump out of a plane whilst same said friend pretended he was reading the paper at x,0000 ft So the question , 'why is it saying 'yes'a in your 30s is so much harder than saying yes in your 20s? Well when reality hit home I just turned white as a sheet and became 'rooted' to the floor of the plane, quite natural really, you'd have to slighty barmy to really... Continue reading
