Hey sweetie, I just wanted to reach out to you and tell you that you're doing the right thing going to your mom. Don't let depression take over your life ..and definitely don't feel like a failure because you are dealing with it. Everyone goes through hard times and that doesn't mean that your not a strong and beautiful person. You have so many people on this site that are willing to be there for you and especially your family. There's a lot to live for and a lot to cherish, don't give up :) Everyday is a new day and follow those dreams you have girl!! You can do it and we all believe in you. I know where you're coming from about what your mom's reaction was. I had two babies when I was in high school ..a family who supported me through everything and fabulous friends who never gave up on me. Yet I knew I was depressed and whenever I tried talking to my family and friends about it they just said it's a phase because I was dealing with finishing high school and already a mommy of two and I had nothing to be depressed about because I had so much support ...and when I thought about it I couldn't think of why I actually was depressed because my mom sounded so right ... so I ignored it and it hurt me every single day. It took me two years to admit to myself that I should seek help outside of my family and my friends. I did and it felt so good. You're an amazing, intelligent girl ...remember that
