What a wonderful idea making a page like that :) Thank you. It's very hard to wear someone down when they have such an amazing support group !! I LOVE the bond that military spouses automatically have. It's incredible to me that people who don't even know each other will so quickly be by your side when you need them. LOVE is such a wonderful thing that has a very good way of bringing people together.

Thank you Heidi & Emalee. I joined your site Emalee :) I am very excited about it and I have quite a few girls on my facebook that will be joining it as soon as they see it on my page also. Heidi, it's been a long and very hard 6 years. As much as I would love to say it's all been wonderful, it hasn't been. Alex and I have definitely had our ups and downs and we have been to hell and back with our relationship. But everything we have been through has made us a very strong couple and I love him more than words can describe. I am crossing my fingers for a ring too :) Stay strong and I will keep you in my prayers!

I remember watching Alex graduate bootcamp...seems like so long ago. That was the very first day I ever met him :) The first deployment was the hardest for me. If you EVER need someone to talk to please don't hesitate to write to me. I can give you my email and facebook information if you would like. When my boyfriend first deployed I didn't know anyone in the same situation as me and it was very very hard for me. Talking with people who know how it feels to have a loved one over there makes it much easier to get through. This picture was taken the day he got back from his first deployment. I drove across the country with his mother to watch their plane land. He didn't know I was going to be there. It was the best moment of my life.

I get back the Tuesday after Valentine's Day so I will definitely be letting everyone know how the trip went...and I am sure there will be plenty of pictures. The only bad thing about this trip is that I am leaving sunny Southern California to see him in snowy/cold Fort Campbell, Kentucky :) If that's not proof that I love that boy than I don't know what is.

Thank you ALL so so so much. It is so comforting knowing I have support, even from people I don't know :) 6 years is a really long time but I would wait 100 more if he asked me to. He is my everything. I am just hoping there might be a ring coming my way this year :) Nikka- Thank your father for me please. And although I don't know him, hug him for me also. I can't imagine having my father in the military. You are a very strong person and you must be very proud of your dad. I would be :)

This is my favorite bible verse ever :) Thank you for posting this. It is a true definition of what love really is. I am very much in love with my dream guy. We have been off and on for 6 years but now it is something so much more. What really opened my eyes to how much he loves me is something my mother said to me on the phone one day. She said, "Emily, Alex loves you the way God loves you." The more I thought about what she said the more I realized she was right. The way he loves me is everything this bible verse says. It is so amazing.

We are not married so I am in California and he is stationed in Fort Campbell, KY. What unit is he in? I used to live in Fort Bragg a couple years ago. My boyfriend has been in for 6 years and he has deployed twice already and is about to leave on his 3rd (and LAST) deployment in August of this year. I am so happy this will be his last one. I can't take any more deployments. Thank you for the prayers, he is infantry so he needs all the prayers he can get :)
