I roll mine out maybe a 1/4" thick. I lay them out on drying racks and flip them 1/2 way through so that they dry evenly. Hope this helps!

To answer your questions on how to CONCEAL the SEAM on the inside of the shoes. Here's how I do it. Skip step 4 on this tutorial(in other words don't stitch the two soles together), then on step 9, stitch the sole to the shoe as written (don't turn the shoe). Then take the shoe sole lining and pin to the top of the shoe right sides together matching your soles together. You're pinning the two soles together with the finished shoe top in between, stitch around the soles and leave a couple of inches open without stitches for turning. Turn the shoe right side out through the opening and slip stitch the hole in the lining closed. You will now have a smooth inside lining without stitched seams. I need to redo the tutorial! I have it on my list of things to do! Thanks for reading my blog! xo Carrie

I made the hat out of Rice Krispie marshmallow treats and the brim out of fondant. I made the RC to the recipe then I put them in a 6" tall oval cake pan to set up. After they set up I carved and sculpted the top of the hat shape. I iced the RC with icing to make it smooth so there would be not bumps once I covered it with fondant. Let the icing set a bit then roll out the fondant and covered it. I make the brim separately with the fondant. Rolled it out and cut it to the shape that I wanted. Hope this helps! Carrie
