:D Life is good!
on divorce... again, the second time around.
So. I got news earlier this week that my divorce petition had been heard before the BC courts, and granted. Final Order was signed December 10th, 2013. Divorce will be official and complete effective January 9th, 2014. Three weeks shy of a total nine years separated. Nine years. Is hard to ...
Thanks, Charlie! Crossroads moments leave me reflective and wanting to express the internal landscapes somehow.
anticipation
Been living in a surreal no-man's land the last several weeks. Resignation and acceptance simultaneously leaves a soul a little bit discombobulated. Is bittersweet, really. Less bitter, more sweet, for many reasons. As each day passes, my anticipation grows. It's a whole new world in job-l...
No bravery needed, Charles! Just a small dose of insanity! :-) I figure it'll be a big, bad, beautiful weekend - and one not likely to be repeated so to hell with the torpedoes, I'm diving in!
going in hardcore
Way back, when I was but a babe in the woods that is the WWW, I remember surfing about trying to find out whatever I could about writing and publication, of short stories, novels, non-fiction. I was a SAHM at the time and figured, 'how hard could it be to break into writing for a living?' Loo...
Huh... and the timestamp on this post's timing could be no more perfect. (to which I say thanks, dear Universe, for whatever it is you're up to and about...)

Since sometime in 2008, I have had a recurring occurrence in my life. It happens daily, multiple times a day. It has become a point of routine comfort for me; I have accepted this idiosyncracy as part of my life's personal fabric and tapestry. When I look at a clock, wherever I happen to be - ...
Thanks, Charlie -- yes, agreed. There is a whisper of *something* inbetween what is and what isn't. And we fall out of one and into the other before we even realise it's happened. I hope to one day recognise - maybe even relish - that inbetween whisper...
And! That link was beautiful... a serene slice of grace.

There is a cloak of disenchantment upon me, that I cannot seem to shake. Instead of dissipating, my disappointment of recent days seems to have stayed, constant. It's a certain kind of sadness that lingers, when one's wishes have been thwarted... hope deferred makes the heart sick, as the prov...

Bravo! You did that with ease and aplomb!
Isn't writing in senyru (and haiku) a wonderful pursuit - I love the required simplicities...

I watch it shudder and twist as it is buffeted by the breeze, its willowy frame hooked amongst the green strands underneath my feet. It dances lightly, reflecting its shine and shadow in time to the wind's natural cadence. I wonder where the plumage has come from - or rather from what creatur...

Go, EB! Nice cyber digs you've got going on here... liking the vibe! Sounds like a crashing start to the year, yes. Pardon the pun, baha... enjoy the blogger's life, it's fun once you've got a good groove laid down.
Ain't nothing as freeing as putting the proverbial pen to paper. Cheers to 2011 - may it be a fabulous journey ahead.
What's your top New Year's resolution this year?
Here it is the start of 2011 and it's already promising to be memorable. 2010 ended with a bang - someone drove into the back end of my car on Friday (New Years Eve) with extensive damage to my car, but thankfully nobody injured. So I start off 2011 with the first experience with an insurance...
DK, you did *awesome* at the challenge this month - blew me out of the water! I think you should keep going -- you have definitely tapped into a very prolific and creative personal vein that is rich with depth and emotion. You have a talent with words - you could take it somewhere. For serious. KEEP WRITING!

Well, now. This is it. I have managed to complete the mission put before me; I post everyday, didn't miss a beat. Something got dropped into the cyber-corner. Not always a quality something, mind you, but a something nonetheless! Yay me, I saw it out start to finish. Unwavering faithfuln...
Rilke was most wise. I do believe that we live our way into the answers we seek, yes. Having patience to do that? Ha, easy said!

Dear Universe, It's been awhile since I took the time to pen you a draft of my heart, hasn't it? I dont' know why so long, really. Life has been a good mix of mundane, mediocre, and marvelous and while it hasn't been overly heart-pounding or bodice-ripping (okay, so it's safe to say the...
Is true - has become about the expectations. And in some cases for some folks, it's become about the entitlements. I do wonder, though, if we don't set ourselves up for disappointments in a self-fulfilling prophetic frenzy of "what ifs" around our assumption about others' expectations. With kids it's more cut'n'dry, of course. They are coached by the materialism to feel the need for this gadget or that toy, with no comprehension of cost or consequence - they just want it because the consumerist flavor says they 'need' it.
I like your idea of just spreading the love all the time instead of trying to package up in a box some thing that doesn't give. It's a thing, not a state of being (which is what we all really want, down under it all... a state of being appreciated, enjoyed, loved...). We've lost our way in the sea of goods that has become our world. Sad, innit?
Not too cynical at all. I think more need to realize the illusion for what it is. And, my, aren't we a maudlin philosophical pair, eh? ;-D

Is it just me or is life locked on warp speed right now? The 18th of November already? Seriously? Crikey. [Sidebar all wrapped up in my love of brackets: interesting word, that one - crikey - I wonder what it's a derivative of, or riff from {or whatever}? I'm thinking maybe it's originall...
