Our baby girl's room is a modestly-sized, roughly square-shaped space. When shopping for furniture, I noticed that many of the popular crib and furniture sets today are wildly oversized. Something like a sleigh-style crib that converts into a full-sized bed just would not work in such a petite space. I... Continue reading

During the week of renovations in October, my Mom and me snuck away (after all, it's not a good idea for a pregnant woman to be around all of that renovation dust!) to shop for fabric. My mom is a very talented seamstress, and she wanted to make the bedding,... Continue reading

love, love LOVE this one! I can tell it came from your desire to create. It's lovely. You are inspiring me to alternate some "just for me" layouts into my rotation so I don't get burned out. It's important to remember the joy of creating for no other reason than to feed that part of our spirits.

The week before my parents' visit, we had our "Big" 20 week ultrasound and found our that our little baby bun is a girl! Now, let's rewind a bit and discuss the fact that I am, in some key areas of life, uber practical. {This practicality does not extend to... Continue reading

Right now I am busy working on an ongoing custom scrapbooking project, which I cannot share online. So, I thought instead I would share some of our progress with home renovations as we prepare for our baby girl's arrival in March. Here are some before and afters of her room:... Continue reading

I am in complete and utter nesting mode. A sense of urgency to get everything done before baby arrives has taken hold of me. My poor husband doesn't know what hit him. :) This week we are painting our bedroom, which is one of the few remaining spaces that has... Continue reading

While I have not been blogging, so very many other events have transpired. First, we renovated our "master" bathroom. I can still remember the feeling of horror that washed over me in June when it rained in the kitchen. The bathroom above was leaking and water was pouring into the... Continue reading

Hello there. Wow, this whole baking a human thing is pretty tiring, huh? HA. Well, now that I've learned how to manage the 8pm bedtime situation, I am moving on with a few things. First, I am cleaning out some unused scrap supplies as I begin to scrap again. Let... Continue reading

Well, that was quite a hiatus. Let's do some catching up, shall we? The end of the 2010/2011 school year was fast and furious, as always. I got terribly behind on scrapping! Then in June we found out about this: So, needless to say, I have been busy! Most of... Continue reading

This weekend at my monthly Archiver's crop, I was able to bust into the March SC kit. Here is another page I made about my recovery journey. There were some pretty big setbacks, and somehow the scrapbooking and the journaling is helping me put it to bed in my mind.... Continue reading

Before I put away the January Studio Calico kit (Who's Who), I decided to do one more layout from it. I have not truly done justice to that kit, but it is time to move on. I think I learned that two add-ons (which is what I purchased in December)... Continue reading

The layout wall in my scrapbook room is one of my favorite places in my home. It has become full again recently. Before I empty these pages into my albums, I always enjoy snapping a quick photo of the wall of completed pages. I love to see this display evolve... Continue reading

I am not a mother yet, although becoming one is something I wish for daily. I think you capture a lot of daily moments in your photos. From your scrapbook pages, it seems you have some family photos, too. I wouldn't worry about the iPhone covering your face-that's the reality of right now and when you look back at the memories you have captured, you will probably be entertained by their imperfect, non-posed style. You have a great character and that is what makes conversations over a glass of wine engaging, so when you are ready, you will be able to enjoy those moments again.

you look great in the baby carrying picture! The babies are growing so fast, too. I think the women in competition phenomenon starts before babies, but it's more pronounced maybe because it seems women are more defensive about that topic. I am not a mom so maybe that doesn't even make sense. :) I always try to smile at the mom whose baby is crying in the store-that must feel so stressful! I cannot even imagine the complexity of your job day to day, I wish women could learn how to build each other up, too!

I recently had the opportunity to create this page for Sweet Memories Scrapbooks in Carrollton, GA. The new MME line, Stella Rose, is absolutely gorgeous! And of course, using the ZING! embossing powders just brings it to the next level of fun for me. (still working on my vacation memories)... Continue reading
