love, love LOVE this one! I can tell it came from your desire to create. It's lovely.
You are inspiring me to alternate some "just for me" layouts into my rotation so I don't get burned out. It's important to remember the joy of creating for no other reason than to feed that part of our spirits.

Cleaning out and moving forward.
Hello there. Wow, this whole baking a human thing is pretty tiring, huh? HA. Well, now that I've learned how to manage the 8pm bedtime situation, I am moving on with a few things. First, I am cleaning out some unused scrap supplies as I begin to scrap again. Let... Continue reading

Growing
I made this layout for the March gallery at Scrapbooking From The Inside Out. The emotion this month is Inspiration. When we're told the emotion for each month, normally 2-3 ideas come to me right away on how I want to express that emotion and this was one of them. I've been holding onto tha...
I am not a mother yet, although becoming one is something I wish for daily. I think you capture a lot of daily moments in your photos. From your scrapbook pages, it seems you have some family photos, too. I wouldn't worry about the iPhone covering your face-that's the reality of right now and when you look back at the memories you have captured, you will probably be entertained by their imperfect, non-posed style.
You have a great character and that is what makes conversations over a glass of wine engaging, so when you are ready, you will be able to enjoy those moments again.
me, myself + i
i know i've talked about this before, but it's something i think about pretty regularly. how when you are a mother, a wife...it's easy to lose yourself in those roles. sometimes when i am asked about who i am, i say i'm a mother to four girls, i'm an army wife...and i am those things. of ...
This was just too funny!
video thursday- harper's fashion advice.
wow. i don't even know where to start with this one. she cracks me up. she told me she was ready for me to film and then she came downstairs with all of these dresses in her arms and told me to hang them up for her. i cannot wait to see what is in this girl's future. she's a trip. i think she mi...
you look great in the baby carrying picture! The babies are growing so fast, too.
I think the women in competition phenomenon starts before babies, but it's more pronounced maybe because it seems women are more defensive about that topic. I am not a mom so maybe that doesn't even make sense. :)
I always try to smile at the mom whose baby is crying in the store-that must feel so stressful! I cannot even imagine the complexity of your job day to day, I wish women could learn how to build each other up, too!
why is it
that women...well some women feel the need to make everything into a competetion? i really truly don't get it. is it to make others feel inadequate? is it to validate themselves? if you were to see a struggling mama feeding a baby a bottle, why would you say "oh, i breastfed my babies exclusivel...
