Ummmm. Jen, you're pretty good at physics (and you have Sean to proof for you), but when you dabble in bio-medicine, perhaps you need a copy editor. The first time I thought it was an amusing malapropism, but using "oxycontin" twice when you clearly meant "oxytocin" is not helping John or Jane Q. Public learn accurate science.

An excellent post. Thanks! One more bit of excitement for young women in the International Year of Astronomy is the naming of 14-year-old Caroline Moore of upstate NY as the Young Astronomer of the Year for becoming the youngest person ever to find a new supernova. There's a very good audio interview with Caroline in the linked mp3 file here:
