Thanks for posting this Lee. I your post from a couple of years ago. Whilst things have changed since then the fundamentals have not. I can see that for a certain type of apps Xamarin may well be a good choice. Ultimately I think it is always worth using the best tools for the job even if that means learning a new language, platform and toolset.
