Hey, and the ebooks are less than £2 each at the moment. What's not to like?

Wonderful. Topical. Such a coup to get such a luminary to agree to write a guest post!
WTF? It isn't even Pyramid shaped. Perhaps that is why it is one of fail...
[x] The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet added to collection and burgeoning TBR pile. Burgeon as a verb seems much less common than its rival burgeoning. This must be rectified.

Well Cross-country Canada, as I haven't heard of that. I remember playing a game called Skyrealms of Jorune (I think on Apple II) that was completely bonkers. Baffling because it was (err, ahem) an illicit copy, so had no idea what you were supposed to do. But I seem to recall you had to collect mind altering fruits for a start.

For a whole album of excellent Tom Waits covers, look to Wicked Grin by John Hammond. Not quite so gravelly, but some excellent arrangements.

INJ Culbard is a huge hero for me - and I am so pleased that Self Made Hero is steadily making his titles available on Sequential. The sale even gives me the chance to buy digital versions of the ones I already own in print without too much anguish. Meanwhile I must check Grandville, I didn't realise that was in the sale!
My cards keep turning up Last Call. Hard to look past that, in fact it is long overdue for a re-read.
You didn't say that this post would contain spoilers...
Ninetween stories! And a new number to add to the world as well. Truly, Jurassic are pushing the boundaries!
I shall be there. Though in a semi-official capacity, helping in the Playtest UK area, where prototype board games can be tried out for your personal well being and good Karma. I shall have my deck building cricket card game there, God preserve you all...

The whole Rohan conquest thing is a smokescreen while the Uruk-Hai secretly retrain as baristas. Once the Orc economy is switched to a vibrant cafe culture, they will cease their wars of conquest.
Oops. Looked on Comixology for Fables and there are 125 of them. That's some backlog! I wish they did anthologies, managing collections of digital comics is still really awkward. Added to my TBR list though... (@CTD)
So, what is tha disturbingly familiar third monster? I thought it was a displacer beast, but Wikipedia suggests not. (so as not to disrupt the thread of comments, you can just think the answer to me)

I've read it, enjoyed it. It certainly worked as a follow on to the previous books, but may have been baffling as a stand alone. Temple had some great lines.
Nighteyes from Robin Hobb's Farseer trilogy. (Though it's hard to top Hobbes)
We had many epic encounters in Gamma World, many years ago. The GM is writing them up at the moment, but I don't think he intends them for publication. He was amazingly tight fisted when it came to loot, it was a scarce time, so finding items you could use was a real thrill (till they malfunctioned and seriously wounded you of course). @CTD

We were bought up on Bembo - my Dad was a typesetter, and Bembo his particular passion. Before dinner we would be given letterforms to study (seriously) so that we could appreciate the beauty of Bembo. He even hand hinted his own version of Bembo because Monotype were slow to the game in the early days of digital typography. I must seek out a copy of this book for him!
Does the platry sum include a tithe to Plarchie?
