Interests: The journey begins from the first marks placed to paper. I never know where those marks will take me. I start with the first step and take another. My drawings are no different. Paul Klee said, “A drawing is simply a line going for a walk.” For me, the drawing comes from within, somewhere deep and intuitive. Each additional step is a choice to continue a journey, each mark adds to those I have already placed. My visual image arises from my journeys; they accumulate, expand, simmer, and distill within my mind. My desire to learn new things, to know of old things and to see the curious in everyday things fuels my existence.
