Walk in The Woods
Hi Stampers! Oh my gosh - we are coming to the end of our 2020-2021 catalog and I am so sad about some of the stamp sets that are going away. I still have a few that I haven’t even used and I am working hard at giving them all a little love! Tonight I made a card with the Walk in the Woods stamp set. Wow this set is so fun to work with! You truly feel like an artists. The way the stamps are designed, it looks like you just sat down and drew an adorable little picture... Continue reading

30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge ~ Day 30
Hi Stampers! Well here we are at Day 30 of the Christmas Card Making Challenge! The theme for today is “All I Want” - and I am supposed to share something I would want to receive for Christmas. I decided to share a little treat I made this year, instead of a card. I wanted to make a little holiday treat for some girlfriends, so I made my favorite little tarts - S’mores and Strawberry! These fit perfectly in our little Bakery Boxes from last years catalog and I decorated them with some of the designs from the Tag Buffet... Continue reading

30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge - Day 29
Hi Stampers! Today I am sharing my card for Day 29 of the card making challenge. The theme was Chalkboard - which I was really excited to do and I love how this card turned out. I used the Wishes and Wonder Bundle from the Holiday Mini Catalog along with some black cardstock and white embossing powder! I think the Chalkboard technique is really stunning! Here’s what I used to make this card: Wishes & Wonders Bundle and Christmas Messages Stamp Set (retired) Black and White cardstock In Good Taste Designer Series Paper White embossing ink and powder Red Rhinestones Continue reading

30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge - Day 27 - Joy to the World
Hi Stampers! Here we are at Day 27 of the Christmas Card Making Challenge and I am going to share a joy that reflects “Joy to the World”! I designed this card for class - and I was looking for something that would be pretty quick and easy. If you haven’t gotten the Wrapped in Christmas Stamp set - I highly recommend it! When I look back at the cards I did for the Challenge - I probably used this stamp set more than any! I also used the Ornamental Envelopes Set for the little designs in the corners! Here’s... 30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge - Day 25
Hi Stampers! I have come to the realization that I am not going to make anymore Christmas Cards this year, so I am going to miss a couple of days. I have four cards left to share, so there will only be two days that I skipped. Day 24 called for a card that uses Old Olive, Rich Razzelberry and Pumpkin Pie Cardstock, and I have to admit - that just wasn’t working for me, so I am happy to let it go. Day 25 calls for a card that is “All Wrapped Up!”, and that one I have covered!... Continue reading

30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge - Day 23 Winter Scene
Hi Stampers! I hope everyone had a Fabulous Christmas! We had some real excitement at our house on Christmas Eve, as my daughter Sarah’s boyfriend proposed to her! She had no idea it was coming so it was a wonderful surprise and we are so happy for Aleks to become an official part of our family! My favorite part of this first picture is how their new puppy Daisy wanted to get in on the action! She is so cute - just look at the way Daisy is looking at her momma! Okay now onto the card for today! Day... Continue reading

30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge - Day 22
Hi Stampers! I am here with my card for Day 22! The theme was a Contemporary Christmas Card. I will admit, this is a style of stamping that doesn’t come easy to me but I gave it a shot! I pulled out a retired stamp set - Dashing Deer, which is a favorite. I did a watercolor wash with a little bit of Seaside Spray ink and added some black jewels! Here’s what I used to make this card: Gift Wrapped (words) and Dashing Deer Stamp Set and Dies (retired) Black, Seaside Spray and White Cardstock Aqua Painter Black and... Continue reading

Hi Stampers! Oh boy, I have been slacking! It is time to get back to stamping and finish up this challenge! Today I share a Classic Christmas Card. This is one of my favorites of the cards I did this year. With the year we have just walked thru I do think “Peace on Earth” is the perfect greeting for our holiday cards. Here’s what I used to create this card: Peace and Joy Stamp Set Joy and Arrange a Wreath Dies Mossy Meadow, Real Red, Pear Pizazz and White Cardstock Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper Real Red Braided Linen... 30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge - Day 20
Hi Stampers! For Day 20 of the Christmas Card Making Challenge I had to make a card which had watercoloring. I used the Yuletide Pasture stamp set today for the first time. I just love this yak - he is an unlikely animal to see on a Holiday card but I would like to imagine there may have even been a yak at the manger scene. I colored this with the new aqua painters and ink from the ink pad. If you have our new ink pads, it is a little more difficult to get ink on the lid of... Continue reading

30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge ~ Day 19
Hi Stampers! It is time to share my card for Day 19 - which provided me with a Sketch Challenge. I don’t always love working with Sketch Challenges, but this one was easy and I really enjoyed doing it. It features the Designer Series Paper and Dies from the Coming Home Suite in the 2020 Holiday Mini Catalog! I really love this paper with all of the people enjoying winter. It is my favorite season! Here’s what I used to create this card: Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp set (words) Home Together Dies and Circle Dies Trimming the Town DSP Misty... Continue reading

30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge ~ Day 18
Hi Stampers! Today I have a color challenge card to share with you. The colors are Cherry Cobbler, Mint Macaron and Sahara Sand. I decided to work with the Peaceful Boughs Stamps and Dies from the Annual Catalog. I love the soft winter pines and pine cones combined with the cherry cobbler DSP. I just love the die that I used to make the main focus of the card. The Peaceful Boughs set contains the die to do the white piece, and then I traced the outside of the die onto a piece of Sahara Sand to make a layer!... Continue reading

30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge ~ Day 17 ~ Vintage Card
Hi Stampers! Today I will share a Vintage Style Christmas Card. I decided to work with the Poinsettia Petals Stamp set as the flowers have a vintage look. I have used this set quite a bit this year, but today was the first time I actually stamped the poinsettia’s and wow do they ever come out nice. You can put three separate flowers together to make a beautiful poinsettia and we have some nice leaves and greenery included in the set also. I pulled out some stamped ribbon from last years Holiday Catalog to accent the card. I have to... Continue reading

30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge - Day 16
Hi Stampers! Today I was given the challenge of following a card sketch. I will show the sketch and the card I made. For this card I went simple and used some of the products in the Tag Buffet Project Kit that is featured in our 2020 Holiday Catalog. This kit is so cute, and it is designed to make tags for your gifts. I think the tags included are so pretty - I am going to use them on cards. If you have ever thought at trying your hand at stamping - a kit is always a great place... Continue reading

30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge ~ Day 15 Scrooges Dream
Hey Stampers! Today’s card was a bit of a challenge for me. I had to come up with something that was anti-Christmas! I dug into the archives and pulled out the So Santa Stamp set from a couple of years back and it was perfect. With what we have been thru this year with Covid-19 - I would not be at all surprised if Santa decided to spend Christmas in Hawaii and forgo his holiday duties! Here’s what I used to make this card: So Santa Stamp Set In the Tropics Dies and Circle Dies Tropical DSP Real Red and... Continue reading

30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge ~ Day 14
Hi Stampers! Day 14 of the challenge required me to make a card with the emboss resist technique. This is a technique where you emboss stamped images and then go over them with ink. I used the new Stampin’Up! Blending Brushes which will be in our new Mini Catalog that comes out in January - and wow are they fabulous for blending ink. I used copper embossing ink on this card, and one thing I really love is that our new Cinnamon Cider cardstock is a beautiful copper color . I was going for a rose gold theme so that... Christmas Card Challenge - Day 13
Hi Stampers! Today I will share my 13th card in the Christmas Card Challenge and the theme required a card with an animal on it. I pulled out a stamp set from the annual catalog - Nature’s Beauty. This is a beautiful set with animals and things from nature and I like that it is not strictly a Christmas set, as the animals can be used for cards throughout the year. I combined it with the Feels Like Frost DSP which is an absolutely gorgeous 6 x 6 paper pack that features different photography of winter nature scenes. Here’s what... Continue reading

Hi Stampers! Welcome to the Happy Holidays collection of projects we are sharing this month. I hope you enjoyed the beautiful creations by Lisa Martz this month! This is my favorite season for stamping - I just love all stamping that relates to the winter Holidays! I have been very busy stamping Holiday Cards this year. Christmas Card Challenge - Day 12
Hey Stampers! Today the 30 Day Christmas Card Making Challenge required me to make a card using a specific color combo. The colors needed are Crumb Cake, Blusing Bride and Soft Seafoam. These are some non-traditional colors for a holiday card but I really love the card I came up with. This card features the Ornamental Envelopes Stamp set, which I will admit I only purchased because I loved all of the fun envelope features. Doing this challenge has forced me to really explore all of my stamp sets and I have to say the parts in pieces in this... Continue reading

Christmas Card Challenge - Day 11
Hi Stampers! Today I will share a Holiday card that features Festive Flowers! I decided to use a bundle from the Annual Catalog. This is the Forever Fern Bundle. This is one of the most gorgeous stamp sets and it is not really intended to be a holiday set, but oh my gosh I love it. This is a set that you mostly would see with shades of green so I decided to mix it up a bit and here’s what I came up with! Here’s what I used to make this card: Forever Fern and Wrapped in Christmas Stamp... Continue reading

Christmas Card Making Challenge ~ Day 9
Hi Stampers! Today I have a beautiful card to share! The theme is “Oh Christmas Tree”. This is such a fun card to make and it is a great way to use up some of your little scraps of Designer Series Paper. I just drew out a Christmas tree and started layering paper, ribbon, diecuts etc. and this is what I ended up with! I gave the card a little bit of an easel so it could stand up and be displayed. Here’s what I used to make this card: Stamp from the October 2020 Joy to the World Paper... Continue reading

Christmas Card Making Challenge - Day 8 ~ Ink Blending
Hi Stampers, Today I created a card that featured ink blending! For my card I used 4 colors of ink, and blended them on a piece of white DSP that has a silver foil design in it. I just used sponge dauber to blend the ink, starting with my lighter colors in the middle of my paper, and working with darker colors towards the outer edges. It is a fun technique and really changes the look of the papers. If you notice the DSP behind my card, that is what it looked like before I did the ink blending. Here’s... Continue reading
