Positive thinking has helped me realize that life is worth living despite difficulties or problems. After all, it's through difficulties and problems that we can really appreciate happiness. Great post, Anastasia!

To my mind, positive thinking leads to positive action. Without positive thinking how can there be any positive action at all?

Sunday is a day I spend with family and good friends unless I travel for business. Weather permitting, I go fishing, hiking or spend time indoors reading, watching dvds or listening to music.

As you know, I'm addicted to Sifnos where I spend at least 2 weeks every summer - mostly on my own, but I'm never bored because I've made a lot of good friends there. Indeed, your cruise sounds magical and your photos are amazing! I've been to most of the Dodecanese islands and would like to visit Leros, Psara and Oinouses.

The bottom line is that you got rid of that rat thanks to the cat. Great read! Thanks for sharing, Anastasia.

Although I've never smoked, I understand it was a hard fight. I am glad to hear that you are the winner. Congratulations!

Anastasia, you are very lucky to live so near such an amazing beach. Your photos are gorgeous! I sometimes look forward to doing nothing but this is a luxury to me due to a hectic schedule at work. I wish I had your long summer break. Right now I am looking forward to my holidays in August. I'm going to Sifnos for a week, like every summer, and then I may spend another week in Galaxidi. Like you, when I'm on holiday, I feel vary lazy and I love it although I do enjoy going fishing even if I don't catch anything.

I am glad to see that you reconsidered your decision not to go back to Chalkidiki. After all, it looks like you and Alkis had a great holiday. Although I am addicted to the island of Sifnos in the summer, I also love spending a few days in Sithonia. Have you been to Amouliani, by the way? It's a small island across Ouranoupolis. There are only about 200 families living there permanently and it's got some of Greece's finest beaches.

Protaras looks like a small paradise on earth. I'd love to try the fishing refuge. Is it where the fishing boats anchor?

Despite its diversity of language, culture, traditions and music, the Eurovision Song Contest united Europe long before the European Union was founded. And despite the exchange of votes amongst neighbouring countries, music has proved to be the unifying factor far more than the euro! I didn't watch the show as I was out for a business dinner, but was glad to hear that Greece got the 6th place.

The Greek Easter is a family affair, so I can't imagine spending it away from my family and loved ones. This Easter we had a great family reunion at Galaxidi. We enjoyed the hot weather and even dared a swim although the water was freezing cold! I may be an amateur fisherman but ...guess what! I caught a huge red snapper which we cooked on charcoal together with the lamb. Thank you for this wonderful post and for introducing us to your friends and family in Greece.
