Thanks for the shoutout,, I mean Alice! I'm glad you've had a great time here in "Wonderland" and hope you've learned a lot. We've enjoyed having you as an honorary "PeppSquad" member.
Sam, thanks for the comment and I couldn't agree more. I'd take your point one step further to say that stereotypes and generalizations in general serve no purpose. You cannot realistically assume that the thoughts, feelings, and actions of members of any demographic are the same among all members. I can't help but think that much time would be saved if we, as a society, instead focused on individual's merits and accomplishments rather than broad generalizations and stereotypes. Of course, that's a rather lofty dream since we're all guilty of using stereotypes whether we realize it or not.

Thanks for sharing, Sarah. I found the infographic hit the nail on the head. Although I'm lacking in the tattoo department (and plan to be for the forseeable future), it really sums up the feelings I know a lot of Millennials have.

Well, if that holds true then comedians everywhere can take solace in the fact that the Weiner jokes can continue.
It is a very sad thing and one can only hope that somehow our country finds a way to turn the tide and send decent people back to Washington. Having just witnessed first hand the craziness that was the Sanford-Colbert Busch race in SC, I feel like the crazy has followed me to the City. Perhaps the voters of NYC won't be so forgiving.
I'd have to agree with the Piers Morgan and Chris Brown additions. As a South Carolinian preparing for tomorrow's congressional election, I'd have to add the luv-guv, I mean Mark Sanford to the list.

I kid you not, there are acquaintances of mine on Facebook and Twitter who are signing these petitions simply because South Carolina has a reputation to uphold as the first to secede. The kicker, the petition from Texas now has enough signatures to pass the White House's own threshold for a response. I'd love to be a fly on the wall with President Obama and his press team as they draft a statement on this one.

Thanks, Professor Martin! It has been an honor to work on campaigns this cycle as well as with the Bully Pulpit Series on its many fantastic events. I'm truly honored that this was inspiring to you. While this was my first presidential election, I did get the opportunity to vote for the first time in 2010 in the congressional and gubernatorial elections. I look forward to continuing to be involved in many more campaigns in the future and if more people speak out, hopefully, we can continue to increase citizen engagement in our society.

Interesting post. I enjoyed the closing quote from Ries suggesting that J.C. Penny keep the name and simply add a new tagline. Simplicity is best. I was at Penny's today and the gentleman who was helping me pick out a suit could not give me a suit bag because they had run out of the ones they had. They had to get rid of all merchandise carrying the old logo and were awaiting the arrival of new suit bags with the updated JCP logo. This is just another way that the move to JCP was costly. For something so expensive it's unfortunate that they did things without paying attention to what consumers were already saying.

I'd really love to have seen his thought process before sending that email. "Oh, I think I'll email some people who sound important at a few PR firms....and then maybe go to the gym." People like this make the millennial generation look bad!
