Okay, you know that one way or another, we are all somewhat nosey especially when it comes to celebrites and their personal lives. When looking for something to blog about I came across www.thecelebrityblog.com . Here there is plenty of both gossip about celebrities and just about everything going on in their lives personal or not. I’m sure you’ve all heard about Lindsey Lohan and how she’s continuing to spiral is disaster because there are plenty of pictures in magazines of her completely drunk, and out of control in plenty of magazines. There are also lots of rumors of her... Continue reading

Twitter’s blog is called @anywhere. This is because in order to Tweet or make a blog using Twitter the @ - symbol is used. Twitter uses its own blog to talk about its progress and other important situations going on around the world today. I think that making a separate blog from their Twitter, status updates. When searching the site, I realized that they update it very often. Their latest blog was yesterday and it’s about… “This Friday April 30th it's Giants vs Rockies at San Francisco and we're throwing our first ever official baseball tweetup together with the Giants... Yes, you are hearing me correct. I stumbled across this blog when doing my weekly search for blogs and it struck me immediate! This is because I have heard of it before here in school. There is an online social network that was first started through MySpace for a girl named Renee Yohe, a cocaine-addicted teen, who suffered from severe depression, often cutting herself. Jamie Tworkowski is the man behind this amazing movement. MISSION STATEMENT: “To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and... I am E! (Entertainment Television), because I love to get away with knowing the latest celebrity gossip. The have a lot of shows that have to do with the lives of celebrities but they also have a couple of shows of reality stars, who became celebrities through their channel, for example the Kardashians. Before E! I had no idea who they were, let alone why? They were getting their own TV. I soon learned that they own, a store and Kim Kardashian was friends with Paris Hilton and blah blah, which then made sense. Now, E! has recently added a... Continue reading

American Idol is one of the number one most watched televisions shows going on right now. There are several very popular celebrities that perform on the show which attracts its audience. The show is all about the competition of dance of different types and styles, guess what else comes in different types? Yes, their voting. I have an iTouch which is basically an iPhone without the calling features. I am able to go online when there is wireless and go on several different website like Google and Facebook. There are also several games I can play which lead me to see advertisements for either games or products. It's insane that I can't even play a free app game on my iTouch without being hit with an ad. I agree Apple is a little insane with their "apps", but they saw what a great success their iPhone is and figured why not advertise on it, it only benefits them. And as long as it benefits them, they will not stop. Great! ugh

Yess, I know what you’re thinking yet another blog about Facebook and advertising but I couldn’t help but make one because I use Facebook everyday. Actually, I use it about 5 or more times a day depending on how much online work I’m doing. Anyway, today while I was on my homepage I couldn’t help but notice that I had over 97 notifications from my Marketplace (New Listing in Your Circle). Now, I have never clicked on my “marketplace”, which is probably the reason why I had so many notifications. I clicked on the marketplace link on the left hand... Continue reading

You guessed right! Advertisements for things such as jewelry nail polish and make-up and more. I couldn’t believe it when I came across this article but it’s true. Disney channel worked in partnership with several brand names exclusive designers such as Stella McCartney, Sue Wong, and Urban Decay, OPI brand, Hot Topic clothing store and even Swarovski! All of these brand names were a part of the film in order to get recognition. The items used as product placements for these brands were actually a part of the movie and its costumes as well as the jewelry the cast wore.... Continue reading

Every year millions sit and watch the Acadamy Awards being run live on their television screens. This year E! and Google decidied to take their advertising on the E! Website to a whole other level. They decided not only to update their fashion on the carpet with photos and behind the scenes videos but also ads. This was to help boost their marketing over ABC. The Oscars weren’t even... I can’t stand this guy! I can’t believe he gets paid by the hundreds by putting on a T-shirt every morning, taking a picture of himself wearing it and uploading it to the Internet. His name is Jason Sadler he is 27and is from Jacksonville, Florida. People with businesses for a product or service pay Jason $100s to advertise for their company. In the morning he literally wakes up, puts on the T-shirt, uploads it to the usual social media websites such as Twitter, Facebook. He also e-mails his picture to his friends. He then hosts a half an hour... Continue reading

Proctor and Gamble are not sure if they want Tiger Woods to be the face of Gillette anymore? Ha. This is because of Tiger Woods recent allegations of sleeping around with other woman and cheating on his wife whom he has two kids with. When a product or service uses a Celebrity to carry their company name, the have to choose wisely and Gillette did. Tiger Woods was a golf tournament icon, someone to look up too for several reasons. No one would have ever expected any type of cheating especially not in the extreme it got to be before... Continue reading

MetroVISTA Advertising Advertising is everywhere! And we all know it, its gone way further than TV commercial and print. We see it as soon as we wake up in the morning and check our mail online; we see it when we drive to school or work, on busses, billboards, and more. If we have to travel somewhere whether if it’s flying or by train, we see advertisements everywhere and they are not going to go away! In Europe and other places the newest way of advertising is happening and it’s completely unique. It’s called MetroVista and is the leading platform... Continue reading

So I was looking up things to blog about and I came across Perez Hilton’s blog. Now, I know what you’re thinking, Perez Hilton what could he have to do with anything? All he is really known for is for bad talking celebrities. And yes, I did go to his blog because I wanted to know the latest gossip but I came across a recent blog of his on Google Buzz. Google Buzz is Google’s latest creation yet another social networking tool. The Google Buzz tool will be like Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, Picasa, and Flicker, You Tube! Basically, it’s an... THE LONGTAIL ARTICLE After reading the article of the Long Tail by Chris Anderson, I’ve come to realize his theory makes a lot of sense. Internet advertising these days has created a non-physical world. The Internet in a way equals a world of abundance. All music, video/movies, even books that people do not see in a store can be found online. There are DVDs you can go buy but then there is Netflix which allows you to rent. There are music albums that are sold in stores but now there is iTunes and Rhapsody that allow people to download different... Continue reading
