So, getting back to the original post, Joe, is the idea that aerobic capacity has increased so it is able to do the same amount of work (or more) at a lower HR? If that is the case, is the limiting factor the amount of speed or power one is able to generate? So, you should work on building the speed or power necessary to be able to work back up at threshold. Or should you adjust your LTHR down? Thanks, super helpful as it describes my training experiences perfectly, and I am never sure if I am fatigued, or need to spend more time doing speed work to be able to work back up at the thresholds that I am used to.
