Those of us who love this country, and have any common sense/logic, can constructively point out flaws, as long as we retain our rights to correct them. Election 2010 comes to mind.

Jimbo, the heroism of those soldiers scaling that cliff brings tears to my eyes every year at this time. Sean Hannity's "Marty" was one of them, and he refuses to talk about the experience to this day because so many of his friends were killed that day. Why can't the liberals admit the difference, yet the similarities of the heroism between then and now in GWOT? Having been raised a Democrat, it disturbs me that so many donks just cannot give our troops the credit they have EARNED!

COB6, all you hear on the media reports is how low the President's "numbers" are, yet they do not tell us that the congress #'s are only half of his numbers! I have never understood why the Justice Dept. has not pursued the traitorous leaks coming out in NYT from "unnamed DoD" or other agencies leaking our nation's secrets.

Uncle Jimbo, I know this is not your first foray into the proverbial belly of the beast, but it's one I must give a standing ovation to: ((((((((((((((((clapping))))))))))))))))))

Maybe he's just trying to "test the waters" in advance of his newest run for the White House! I doubt he'll get anywhere near enlisteds. He doesn't have that kind of guts!

A hero to the end, with the Grace of God. My prayers will be with the Colonel and his family.

He's waiting on the Supreme Court, according to what I gleened from the press conference this morning...Let's pray his new appointees have not fallen victim to the conservative spine removal virus that seems to affect denizons of Washington D.C.

B5, you've inspired me to go visit Bamcee (Brooks Army Medical Center, San Antonio). I've wanted to go so bad, but am such a big blubbery baby, I don't want to cry the whole time. Any suggestions? As we did last year, hubby and I will be hosting soldiers from Ft. Sam Houston for Thanksgiving. The two soldiers we had last year were training to be medics. (We teased them about being called "doc".) To B5 & his readers: If you are near a base, consider including a soldier, sailer, airman, or Marine at your dinnertable on Thanksgiving. They are a treat, and it's an honor to host them.

Katrina has shown me that the 13% of those who are not of our "tribe" (Eject, Eject, Eject-style) are not to be given any attention, because we're opening our homes, our wallets, our hearts, and our time to help hundreds of thousands of them who have come to Texas. I wish y'all could live in Texas...you wouldn't be so pessimistic.
