Hi Chooky,
Havent been on for so long I nearly forgot what to do-I plan to be more active on the blogging front again:)
Winter Camping
Once again we were the mad ones who braved the winter weather! Empty spaces all around us.. Out in pretty much the middle of nowhere.. Didn't keep a close enough eye on my pink lady apples-they were robbed and enjoyed by cheeky kangaroos who proceded to scoff them right in front of me.....
Wow! I am in awe of your determination and the sheers distance you covered feeling like crap-you are amazing. Next year you will nail it:)
covering the miles....
or kilometres depending which part of the world you are in. My last big race was the Northface 100, a trail run/walk covering 100kms of trails in the Blue Mountains. It was the first event I tackled when I arrived back in Australia - a way to get back into the feel of running in the bush as ...
And so you should be ridiculously pleased with yourself-it is gorgeous-love the colour combination and the edging finishes it off nicely
me old china, finished
In some ways I'm a little sad to have fastened off the last stitch in the edging of this blanket. It has been a pleasure to make; rhythmic, undemanding and soothing. After a bit of a false start (when I had a crisis in confidence about the colour choice and unpicked 20 square...
I can so relate to this! Our 1year old pup bit the top off our brand new Macadamia and often smells of rosemary!! My poppy patch is as flat as flat!!Survival of the fittest!!
Rocket Wars
By Shula Dear God, give me strength..... Rocket, parsley and Love in a Mist, squashed all but out of existence by the weight of an exceedingly heavy object. Hail? A meteor, perhaps? You can't tell from the photo... but the flattened area is suspicously, perfectly, dog-shaped....

unremarkable....
nothing really of note happening here, which is why I have been rather quiet on the posting front. Lately, whenever I sit down in front of the screen and attempt to write a post, I mostly come up with a big blank. If I do write something, I end up deleting it when I realise just how boring it all...

I am celebrating my second Mother's Day this year ( I joined in the UK celebrations too). For the first time in about 20 years, I was able to make my own mum a cup of tea on Mother's day and take it to her in bed. Quite a novelty for both of us. To all of the mothers, motherly types and to anyo...

TypePadWell, your aim is true! She's certainly got talent and I am sure that it is not only from her father:)
Sartori
Very occasionally, and for the briefest moment, before the guilt-weight of bohemian single-parenting settles back on my shoulders, I get this glimmer that I must be doing something right, because not only is my daughter a surprisingly well-adjusted, gentle, and compassionate person, she's als...
You are SO doing everything right! Absolutely stunning-talent and depth oooozzzing out! I couldn't stop going back and looking at it again:)

I LOVE rainbow lorikeets and your photos are just stunning! And yes they certainly are so very cheeky-hope they left you some figs!
Fig Tree Mardi Gras
Went outside today to rescue what's left of the figs, only to find the tree shimmering with colour, Necessitating the fetching of a zoom lens, instead. Allow me to introduce my Resident Disco Fiends: the Rainbow Lorikeets. Unintimidated by mirror balls, awash with fig juice, and shameles...
Thank you-I so enjoyed this-very clever!
Western Spaghetti

Lol! Too funny! But i bet they tasted delicious!
Quiet Joys of Parenthood
I washed three loads of dishes. I cleaned down the outside of the stove, the fridge door and the front of the cupboards. I scrubbed the kitchen benches, and scraped dried cake mix from the food jars. Finally, I mopped sticky sugar from the floors, the same floors that I had cleaned only...
Oh so beautiful indeed:)
Toy Society
I dare say that you're all familiar by now with the Toy Society and it's methods. It's an ingeniously simple concept. Toys are handmade, packaged, and hung in a place where someone will find and take them home. Street art. An act of love. The kids did a drop yesterday, delivering toys to a pa...
