I often find myself day dreaming about traveling to far away places. I love to travel. But schedules and life often interfere. I often find myself feeling unlucky or a sense of lack over not being able to travel the world. I overheard a conversation about a woman who was getting ready to travel to Iguazu Falls. Most flowers benefit from having their spent flowers removed. This is called deadheading. Flowers that repeat bloom will often do so only if the old, dying flowers are removed. If they remain on the plant they will goto seed and stop producing beautiful flowers. Applying these principals to our lives is an important part of spiritual growth. It is counterproductive for plants to extend energy sending nutrients to blooms that have already died. But don't we do that in our everyday lives all the time?
