Not that the give a crap about Schiff, but the EU were in the vicinity of 200k new cases yesterday.

PA had a 900k Dem registration advantage in 2016, Trump won anyway. That advantage is more like 725k today, but somehow it's moved left. I'll believe it when I see it.

So if Rudy is to be believed the FBI has Since 2019 evidence of child porn and done nothing about it? If true Trump should fire Wray immediately, and let those who criticize explain why protecting abusers of children is a good thing.

Sounds like a variation of the one I heard as a kid -- Telephone Operator: "I'm curious, why do you call me every day just before noon for the time?" Man: "I'm with the Fire Department. I check the time so that I blast the siren right at noon." Operator: "Oh, I set my clock to 12:00 when the siren goes off!"

The polling is strange. Almost always poll more D than R, yet all the indications show a large enthusiasm advantage for Trump. So how does D >> R make sense in the sample? It one thing to call someone on the phone and ask who they'd vote for, it's another to show up and do so. And for whatever reason the left seems more leery of the mail, and more scared of going to the polls than those on the right, so ... yeah, who knows.
Toggle Commented Oct 7, 2020 on He's Back! at JustOneMinute
Personally I think the polls are just expressing the uncertainty of the 'rona diagnosis. When he's back out on the trail and comes out firing at the debate it'll be a big boost.

I must be missing something obvious with those Brennan notes. If his intel sources tell him HRC was looking for oppo research from Russians why would he even think about opening an investigation based on what comes from it? Yeah, I know, it's all BS, but it's not even well constructed BS.

Maybe I'm just too much the optimist, but I think Trump just ensured his re-election. In all likelihood he and Melania will recover within 2 weeks, and be back better than ever. Then what does his critics say? It's like the dare thrown at you when you're a kid. The kid accepting it is the hero, the alpha. The kid making the dare just sort of mumbles to himself. Trump is at work, doing what's expected of him, just like millions of other Americans. Biden is hiding in the basement from something Trump will brush off.

Pretty much as effective as HCQ when taken early. Let's hope the President does tout this drug.

The black dude out in Milwaukee last month. Trump supporter, so that black life didn’t matter so much.

I have said before it's a mistake to treat Biden like a demented geezer. Nothing has changed from the standpoint that Biden going into a two hour debate will likely be a disaster. I've always viewed the 'Biden is losing it' angle as a way to force him to show up.

Funny I didn't see the name Carter Page there, maybe it's behind the paywall. And Manafort was pretty late in the game, well after Obama starting spying on Trump. But whatever ...

Personally I wouldn't even bother looking at the polls. As Ext pointed out eventually they're going to have to push Biden out in front of the cameras, which will be a disaster. And as far as getting replaced, I really can't see that helping. If it's Bernie they're toast, if it's not Bernie a big chuck of their base will stay home. The Dems created their own Kobayashi Maru.

What does it mean that a smart guy like TM ... Posted by: Jim,SunnyvaleCA,USA | June 08, 2020 at 07:06 PM If I can direct your attention to the right you'll notice Tom has a special section devoted to the Plame fiasco, an earlier example of the deep state conducting lawfare against a Republican administration without an underlying crime. As I recall TM was all over that mess early, and obviously followed it extensively. The fact that there was no crime (Armitage leaked the name) didn't matter to him. He excitedly covered the maneuvers to destroy the administration. I found it quite maddening at the time. I guess what I'm trying to say is I'm not too surprised by his recent posts, and the gnashing of the teeth it seems to be causing. I've assumed he had a soft spot for the deep state since at least 2004.

Hmmm. Quick google search of Romney 2012 business ties comes up with stories about China and Russia. Wonder where that might have come from, and what certain members of the IC might do with it? I don't think there's any reason to believe Romney wasn't spied upon in 2012 in the same way Trump was in 2016. Only difference is Romney lost.

Maybe not just NY dropped the ball wrt nursing homes. At the Maryland covid-19 website (https://coronavirus.maryland.gov/) over half the deaths (982 of 1736) are from nursing homes. Not exactly protecting the most vulnerable.

From what's been disclosed the Flynn conversion had no intel value, so that alone should have made an unmasking unnecessary. By doing so would have any reasonable person conclude this was a case of reverse targeting. The persons consuming this intel didn't care what the Russian ambassador had to say, only to whom he was saying it.
Toggle Commented May 14, 2020 on I've Got To Get Going at JustOneMinute
On my question about "unmasking" last night, I guess the real question is how objectively to refute the claim that there was legitimate concern. We know it was done for political reasons, but how do you prove that? I think it would come down to the unique nature of this. There are probably numerous examples of unmasking of US persons to aid in the understand of the intel presented. That's already being thrown out there to argue this is no big deal. Examples of USPs who are senior govt officials is probably rare I would guess, since that would indicate they're working towards the interest of a foreign govt.

Happy belated jimmyk! It's a long video (55 mins) but I recommend the discussion Jim posted last night (https://youtu.be/289NWm85eas). Talks about the MLB study among other virus thangs. Something I didn't realize -- there are no vaccines for the known corona-viruses (6 total, plus the new one). So don't put too much faith in a vaccine any time soon, if at all. We might just have to slug this one out, doing what we can on the preventative/treatment side of it.
