Hi Fred: Sorry that you found that tip to be so obvious. I wrote that tip because if one chooses a popular size for the outer dimensions of an affordable print, its more likely people will be able to easily find an affordable frame for it.
And I can add a tip to that as well: If you create prints with outer dimensions that are popular sizes, you can buy frames in bulk and sell framed prints, which can increase their selling price considerably, or use them as gifts (see Part II of the article for more on that).
