This is a very thoughtful article about a difficult issue. My default is to be a free expression absolutist because any other course invites abuse by authority, but you make a convincing case for the validity of using educational purpose as the litmus test on a campus. The difficulty comes in the interpretation (as ever) - Should the Williams library stock Charlie Hebdo? Or have a special exhibit on Charlie Hebdo? I'd argue yes, but a cogent opposite argument is simple to make....
