Thom, I've been trying to catch up on missed "Fringes" and I just have to tell you that you, they are all damn brilliant! Your writing draws me completely in and takes me right to the farm, Lollipop, Mother and your RV. They're all such delightful stories. Thanks for keeping me smiling.

BRAINS AND BEAUTY
Mother called just as soon as she had gotten home from my graduation. I had decided to stay in Newark for another week to be with Patrick. Our lease on the apartment wasn't up until the end of June and Patrick was going back to Connecticut to visit his family for a few weeks so we really wan...
Marvelous!!! Congratulations, Jesse. Thom, you said several months ago I'd love this and you weren't kidding. Thanks, guys. xx

19 wonderful years with you beautiful Pearl... what a blessing. Really, how often does that happen? I've had SO many that didn't even make 7 or 8 years... and one (my Tobias) that I lost at only four months. I doesn't matter though because those are memories are my most valuable possessions. Now about the patricide...? You truly are an angel, Thom. Btw, please tell Mikey if he sees Mike Hunt that I need help finding Amanda Hugginkiss. Love you... xx
SHE DIED--SIX YEARS AGO TODAY
She was born September 26, 1985. She died just after her nineteenth birthday. October 12, 2004. I was there to watch her take her first breath and her last. Her Mother was my best friend. Chelsea . I know that everyone says this but she really was the sweetest little thing I had ever se...
Thom, you bet your sexy, sweet ass I'll see this film! According to the trailer it has all the elements of great horror. Love me a crazy, blood-soaked broad wielding a pitchfork. Not to mention a strong, handsome, delicious male lead. Btw, that Debbie Fringed chick is HOT!

Okay, so Mary and I want to know how the hell you burned the house down. I mean, it is the title of today's blog for crying out loud! Love you!
WE. BURNED. THE. HOUSE. DOWN.
Jerry and I were always doing something that would upset Mother. Grand Ma Ma would call our behavior deviltry. "the devils in those boys" Grand Ma Ma would say to Mother. I wish my Grand Ma Ma was still alive. I would love to say to her aaahhhhhhh HORSESHIT. I know she would smile & laugh. ...
I have to tell you , Thom, that because I'm (only very) slightly younger than you, the whole "spare the rod and spoil the child" concept is simply barbaric to me. I'm from the Gen X/Dr. Spock generation. Honestly, dear, if someone beat me with a belt just for doing the normal things kids do, I'd fucking beat them to a bloody pulp. I've been spanked maybe 3 times in my whole life (excluding foreplay, of course) and all it did was instill in me that the way we're supposed to solve our problems is with violence. My parents used reasoning and conversation... empowering me to use my common sense and compassion and appealing to my innate ability to reason using common sense and decency. Now, on the other hand, when it comes to having my meaty, plump ass smacked with a manly hand's open palm to enhance my sexual experience, smack, slap, whack away! I'm all for a little pain for pleasure, but I'll be damned if I'm gonna' let some authority figure beat me for not eating my green beans.

Right about the time 'Hairspray' came out is when I met Divine in a parking lot while I was X-ing and about to GET BEHIND THE DRIVER'S WHEEL!!! (I know it's terrible, right? Stupid 19-year-old making a ghastly decision because of ecstasy.) Anyhoo, he was getting into the car next to us... not in drag but bald, in a blue windbreaker and VERY large pants. He said "hi" and asked how our evening was. Long story short (too late), I was so shocked and excited I could barely breathe. Divine died very shortly thereafter. I, as were many, was devastated. Thank you, John Waters & co., for MANY wonderful life experiences!
SPRAY ON THE ORIGINAL
Hairspray (1988) Not only one of Waters's best movies, but this movie crossed over and expanded Water's appeal without compromising his style and vision. Ricki Lake as the "plump" young heroine is especially fabulous as is the always fabulous DIVINE! Hairspray was rated PG, Waters’ f...
Thom, how heartbreaking for your mum... for you all. It makes me sad that she was never able to recover. I really hope you're planning on publishing these blogs in actual book form. xox
FATHER DIED TODAY
Thirty-Four years ago today. Mother also died that night. Not her body or mind but her spirit and her beauty. It was late. The phone rang. I heard Mother scream. I ran down the stairs followed by the other four and found Mother on the floor weeping. The phone cord dangling beside her. I was so...
Just out of curiosity, Thomas A, had Father gotten his way would you be Dwight or David. The thought of it being the latter titillates me. Was Father an ardent Eisenhower supporter? Regardless, Jerry and you sure are sexy. The baby picture is darling. It's unusual to see newborns with such full beards. xx
THE G WOULD HAVE BEEN SILENT.
58 minutes after me another one came. I don't remember this. At all. I wish i could. Now that would be Fabulous. Would we be named Dwight & David like Father wanted or would we be Thomas & Jerome which was Mother choice. If you have followed THE FABULOUS FRINGE FAMILY than you already know...
Even though I've been in 6 serious relationships, I've only really been in love 4 times. Mike, number 1, was and always will be "the one". Mike, like Will, is no longer among us. It always seems that my quality of life suffers when I have companionship. On the other hand, so does my creativity and the drive to be productive creatively. Which is better... alone, safe and sane or together, on the edge and artistically fulfilled (personally I prefer the latter but sometimes the price is very high)? Pffttt! Happy Medium, where are you? I'm very sorry about Will, Thom. Once again, great "Fringe", sugar. xx
One Is The Loneliest Number.
is the number of lovers I've had. is the number that are still alive. is the number that lasted less than this. is the number that lasted over ten. is the number that I am now. And ONE is the loneliest number. Patrick, Ken, David, Bobby, & Will. I sti...
Oooooooh, I did a preacher, actually a Catholic priest, once. His name wasn't Jacob and there was no ladder or hole... in the fence - or even a fence. That is one really TALL tale, Thom. Real or not it made my groin stir. I love your anecdotes. I just hope you don't have one about accidentally having rough sex with a mime named Michael. Seriously, when you find out the mime part it could be somewhat disturbing... not that I would know . So what of Tony, Robert and Bobby?
THE MAN WHO LIKED TO CLIMB
Lived on the other side of the fence. Bobby's best friends were Tony & Robert. They had all known each other since childhood. It wasn't long after I met Bobby at The Rear Entry that Tony, Robert, Bobby & myself were inseparable. They even lived with us in our home for almost a yea...
Hah! Inside out... classic! But apparently Pasquale was well worth it. So do you have any photos of him? I don't need proof, I just like visual documentation when it involves men being naughty. And are you still celebrating on August 4th? Personally I would rather only acknowledge my birthday about once every 12 years or so. Til next time, dear scorpio...
August 4th Is Not My Birthday.
Is not my birthday. All of my fabulous friends in Albuquerque had summer time birthdays. These were spent together in my backyard pool or at Elephant Butte Lake. New Mexico's largest. From May thru September almost every weekend we were having a party for one of the gang. My neigh...
Gay sex in the 70's was so dark and seedy and nasty. Sounds very exciting. I don't see you as a prostitute, Thom, more of an entrepreneur. You saw a need for a service and you filled it. That mutually beneficial savvy is just good capitalism. What ever happened to the RV?
For one night only.
I WAS A PROSTITUTE! One hot summer night in Albuquerque. August 1999. My lover had moved to Los Angeles in June. I had no desire to go. I had bought a home, had a great job and lot's of fabulous friends. My favorite bar was called "The Rear Entry". And it was just that. The bar had no...
I can't wait to hear your "just not today" stories. I remember when life was a new adventure every day... before the agonizing pain nearly ended it all. Now I'm starting to see life as wondrous again, especially if it's coming up from behind! I'm just glad I never ended up doing donkey shows to pay for a coke habit, accidentally voted republican or something maybe even worse. More gratuitous photos please.
IT COMES UP BEHIND YOU
I moved to Florida. My job transferred me there. I had always planned on living in Florida. I left Los Angeles in 1976 and headed to Florida. Fort Lauderdale. Thought that would be a good place to start. I pulled off I-40 into Albuquerque for gas, food, & lodging. Typical stop. What wasn...
