Thank you! It had been out of stock there for so long that I stopped looking.
It's Wednesday, so here's a post about comic books
When I was a kid, I was a DC Universe guy all the way, with rare forays into the Marvel Universe to read a few X-Men books, and the occasional Silver Surfer 100 page spectacular (remember those? I loved those oversized one shots in the 70s and 80s.) I realized last week, though, that the bulk of...

Hickman's Pax Romana is so good. I wish it wasn't so hard to find.

I'm an unabashed Vertigo fangirl. I went to my first comic book convention last year just so I could say I had been in the same building as Fables' Bill Willingham. Brian Wood, who writes Northlanders and DEMO (among other titles) is a rock star. And, I've just picked up Unwritten which blew. me. away.

"There is a very good chance that I'll be at a show in the near future that I've never been to before, in part of the country that keeps asking me to come visit."
If this is C2E2 in Chicago, my kid will be ecstatic. (Ok, I will be too.)
a few programming and personal appearance notes
If everything goes according to plan, I should release Hunter later today. It's 2500 words, about the length of what you'd read in a magazine, I think, and I'm pricing it at 99 cents, for people who want to buy it. I'll eventually put it here or wil wheaton books for free, for those of you who a...
I've spent the last week or so pulling pink carpeting out of my 13 year old son's bedroom. The entire upstairs has an open, airy feel to it now that the detested carpet is gone. I also wish I hadn't waited so long to do it, especially since my son is not a fan of pink, but my wallet was afraid of what might be hiding underneath. Luckily it was serviceable painted wood. Nothing as awesome as your parquet, but good enough for now.
nobody can see in our holler tree
Tomorrow morning, I leave for Portland, where I'll spend an all-too-brief week working on Leverage. For those of you who don't know, I'm a recurring character on Leverage. I play a computer hacker called Cha0s, who is a nemesis to the Leverage team, but especially to Hardison. I first played th...
Thank you for solving a mystery for me.
I've never been able to figure out why the main character of The Force Unleashed looked so familiar. Now I know why; he's Crashdown!
Field Report: E310
The last time I went to E3, it was one of the most annoying experiences of my life. I remember feeling assaulted by sound in a convention hall that was so crowded, I couldn't take more than two steps without stopping. It was miserable. Yesterday, I went back to E3 for the first time in two or th...
Ooh! How did I miss this? Thanks!
in which the case for buying an iPad is almost made
When Apple announced the iPad, I was so unimpressed and bored with it, I couldn't even muster a "meh." It seemed to solve a problem that didn't exist, and while I kept waiting for Apple to make the case for it, I don't think they ever did. I mean, if I'm going to spend five hundred fucking dolla...
I was "meh" about it at first too, but the idea of the iPad grew on me. My mom's constant talk of getting one wore me down as well. Ours should be here Saturday and now I almost salivate thinking about possibly playing Carcassonne or Catan on it.

Huet angst, eh? Now you know how us LA Kings fans used to feel.
Blackhawks' Cristobal "Huet Angst"
Man, how about them (What about Cristobal Huet?) 1st place Chicago Blackhawks?!!! They're scoring (Why does Huet) goals like crazy, nobody seems to (give up goals in bunches) have their speed, this could be the most awesome season (like that?) EVER! Kane and Hossa and Kopecky and Toews and ...

Don't worry too much about your "ums". They are perfectly cromulent parts of speech. NPR said so!

Memories of the Futurecast: Episode Seven
Holy crap! It's time for Memories of the Futurecast. Memories of the Future, Volume One, covers the first 13 episodes of TNG, so each week, I'm choosing something from one episode, and performing an excerpt for you. It will mostly be from the synopses, which is where I think the real humor of ...
Yep.
i'm just sayin'
My one and only Trapper Keeper was green and featured three kitty cat faces.
And now I'm a college dropout.
Some Reasons Why Kitty Cats are Nice
1. Cute. 2. Furry. 3. Adorable mewing sounds. 4. Helpful with “last bit of milk in container.” 5. Rarely complain about my robot plans being left out. 6. De-clawing them allows me to pretend I am doing the old “Bamboo shoots under the fingernails” gag. 7. Photos of them make...

i'm touring around southern california for Star Trek: The Manga
Star Trek The Manga: Kakan ni Shinkou comes out this week. I have the usual doubt and uncertainty about my story, but my editor assures me that it's a solid story which fits into the Manga format, even though I think there are a couple of pages where I get way too wordy (imagine that) instead o...
