changing the way i live my days
beginning with a beginning and then moving around it, as central to it all.

Hoping your pipes don't burst! We had that happen to someone at our Apartment complex about a week ago when we had a long stretch of sub-freezing weather. As soon as it started to warm up a bit over freezing their water heater and pipes burst. What a mess.
This cold weather makes me wish I had a real fireplace to sit in front of.

I love how I can take little day(s) trips on small cloth and then put them together to tell a story of a long journey. The little trips are still where I'm at right now. Love that velvet!!!!

quilting distance
the nice thing, or at least the different thing about a large hand stitched cloth is the sense of journey. you might be working on one corner and the other corner could seem like the other end of the world. there are places to go and be that seem so different from one another. places. to ...

This is one of my absolute favorites! SO dog-gone beautiful! I've been spending time this week on your Flicker page. I'll make myself a cup of tea and then put the slide-show on and watch a set a few times. It's a wonderful way to relax!!! XO

This morning the sky is like a crazy quilt and my desktop is a patchwork of things to do. I am back to this. Because today a square is quite calming as I think about the nature of a square as a way to organize a tangle. And I was up at 3:30 this morning, laying the ground work for someth...

what if wednesday - the accidental beast
8:09 AM...well it is What If Wednesday. And I have just been working on something I call the Accidental Beast. Why? Because of the way it seemed to just happen. But at the same time, as I looked at the process closely, it was also persistence and intention and some inner vision that pulled i...
