I love the feel of wool in my hands and how warm and cozy everything I knit with it is. :) Can't wait to read the book!
I graduated from WMU in the 1990's - it was a wonderful school to attend and I made several life-long friends during my time there. I fell in love with West Michigan and still live on this side of the state. I actually visited campus recently for the first time in many years and it brought back many wonderful memories. I'm glad that your son had a successful visit and wish him well at whatever school he decides upon!

I'm going on a trip in a couple of weeks with my 5-year-old - I would love to have a Kindle to not only read on the plane, but put some books on to read to her as well. :)
I've been drooling over the D-SLRs for a long time now but it's not anywhere close to being in the budget unfortunately. I have a higher-end point-and-shoot that lets me use many of the manual options so I've been trying to learn as much as I can using that camera, which is ok for now I guess.

My back to school technology wish would be an iPad - I could stay much more organized, get stuff done on the go and keep my preschooler occupied. Thanks! :)

Aha, I've been wondering if Flickr would ever have this feature. So glad to see it! :)

We went through something similar a couple of months ago with our 2-year-old. We ended up putting a safety gate on her doorway and ever since then she's slept on the floor in her doorway. Her pillow, blanket and various stuffed friends have migrated to her doorway as well, making it an obstacle course to walk in and out of her room, but at least she does sleep. Eventually. :) Good luck!

Good luck through all of the changes, the new job for him and the move. That's definitely a big shift! I hope everything works out well and that he is happy in the new career. :)

Happy Mother's Day to you too, Megan! Even if it is a day late (sorry). I hope you had a wonderful day. :) I usually sing the 'usual' - Twinkle Twinkle (my own version though), You Are My Sunshine, Brahm's Lullaby... I'm not terribly creative when it comes to singing.

Oh Megan - she is so precious! I remember that stage and loved watching as my girls became mobile and starting learning so much more about their world. She is such a beautifully happy baby - happy 8 months to her! :)

I haven't had a haircut since before school started last September. Oops... :) Maybe one of these days I can finally get it cut - it desperately needs it. I try to comment as much as I can, but just plain run out of time. I'm always so behind on reading posts that I consider it good if I at least get things read, much less commented upon. But I do try to leave comments as much as possible because I know how much I value them when people leave them for me. :)

Wow, little sister - you are getting so big! And you have the most gorgeous eyes... Tell your mommy that I love your expression in the first picture, ok! :)

I could use pretty much everything, but what I really need are more of the basics - scrapbook pages, sheet protectors, cutting tools, paper, embellishments... And definitely need some way to organize everything - it's all thrown together in a tote bag in my bedroom right now and I can never find anything! Please, Santa? :)
