You may not care, but Pioneer Woman had a great post on how to photograph food, in case you wanted tips. It might be too late for the Still Life: Food assignment, but that might come up again.

Project 365/26
Click the photo to see the full-sized version on Flickr. Project 365/26: This is life, not art. It's my actual dinner. Dan makes a very tasty chili. I know most people here in the vast midwestern wasteland eat chili with crackers or macaroni or cornbread. Being Asian and from Hawaii, I really ...
I think this dish is perfectly photogenic. The contrast of chili with the rice and again with the cheese looks good to me. It just needs a little more light, maybe.
(Please remember I know squat about photography. I'm just giving my uneducated opinion!)

This looks like a spot in a magazine, honestly. Like the ad would just have the tagline "Stand Out" or something. I love it!
I signed up for the night photography class! I'm so excited to start!
Project 365/24
Click the photo to see the full-size version on Flickr. Project 365/24: I'm going to use this as my first attempt at one of Digital Photography School's Weekly Assignments. The assignment is "Spot of Color" and the requirement is a shot that has one area with brighter color that draws the eye....
I've found that I just cannot shoot the moon (ok that made me giggle a little) without a tripod. Either I'm too wiggly, or the California ground moves a lot, but all my shots end up looking like they've been smeared a little.
I've never been able to see the man in the moon, but I've always seen the Energizer bunny. Maybe what I see as his drum is what you refer to as mochi? (Also, what's a mochi?)
Project 365/15
Click the photo to see the full-size version on Flickr. Project 365/15: Here's my first try at shooting the moon (heh). I definitely should have used a longer lens and a better way to steady the camera. My goal is to eventually get a good "tsuki no usagi" photo. Ummm, not the Sailor Moon chara...
I have a million of these shots of Mia. Glowing eyes, overused flash on the face, but shadowy body. But I love them. To me, it looks like he's interested in seeing what you're doing with that weird flashy thing you keep pointing at him!
Project 365/18
Click the photo to see the full-size version on Flickr. Project 365/18: I really do want more dog photos. Not necessarily disembodied paws like we see on the left side, but Freya always makes herself known somehow. I'm trying to get Axel more accustomed to posing. You would think that a show d...
I'm behind a few days because I forgot to put this feed in my reader, but if you should find an online class devoted to night photography, let me know! I've been looking for a few photography classes in my area, and have yet to find one I'm interested in. Maybe we can do the online class together!
Also, I like these kind of pictures. Reminds me of the Toss the Camera post you shared in Google Read a while ago. I'm still trying to get a good one of those to work for me!
Project 365/19
Click the photo to see the full-size version on Flickr. Project 365/19: I've been playing around with night shots quite a lot, mostly because of when my free time falls. I need to do a lot more playing and reading because I still don't really know what I'm doing. I'm also considering doing an ...
This one has a Halloweenie (yes that's a word. Now.) vibe to me. I like the bare trees and the way the orange light reflects on them.
I'm loving this project! I've been taking a ton more pictures lately to try and get better at it, and I LOVE looking at what other people are doing. This is great!
Project 365/10
Click the photo to see the full-size version on Flickr. Project 365/10: My original plan was to try something similar to the Day 6 shot with one of the dogs patrolling at the gate in hopes of getting a better result with the additional options of the DSLR. Neither dog would cooperate and it wa...

I love this picture! It's such an unusual view. I've been trying to take some pictures from different perspectives lately, just to see how they look. I might have to try one through the tree to see if I can get something as interesting as this!
Project 365/7
Click the photo to see the full-size version on Flickr. Project 365/7: This rose bush is in the neighbor's yard. It has been there a very long time, planted by the original owners of the house. It has been featured in my blog several times, usually when I have something bad to say about the cu...
I love when they do this. Mia has been doing it since the day I brought her home, literally. It makes the cutest picture!
Project 365/5
Click the photo to see the full-size version on Flickr. Project 365/5: I've had a hard time getting flattering portrait-type photos of the dogs. Here's one more to add to the non-flattering bunch. On the other hand, it's so very Freya: this is a common "zombie puppy" pose which is almost guara...
I'd often wondered where you'd disappeared to, and hoped that you were just loving life and enjoying your boys. Words cannot express how sorry I am for your loss. I hope posting stories and pictures here will help you heal.

So. Life took me for a ride. I can't really explain why I bought this service back after months and months of it being billed to an expired credit card. I guess because after a conversation I had with my cousin, I realized that if someone I was reading disappeared, I'd want to know why. So he...
