A friend of Ross's asked me to do this for 'someone's' birthday. Oregonians may recognize him as a local person-of-interest. I'll say no more...
I helped carry the stuff from the dorm room to the car, and then from the car into the kitchen, but Ross is going to have to do the rest. Glad he's home, though.

Cookie got shaved today. She had so much hair that she was always overheating on walks. Given her fear of human beings, especially if those human beings touch her, we were afraid that she might have a psychotic break. But she sailed right through it. Apparently, she is tougher than she lets ...
Thanks, Loretta. It was actually raining when I took this picture. I just put down the car window, pointed, and shot it...amazing that anything decent came out of the shot, but there you go: serendipity!

visiting Mom...
I drove down for a visit with my mom today. The Willamette Valley was especially Dramatic and Stormy, so i snapped a photo (or two). My mom likes to look at my blog and my Facebook pages, so it was fun to hang out, roam the Web, and see her before heading off.
Thanks for the kudos on the photos...it was fun and instructive. And YES, if you are in Portland, you need to check this place out. It is amazing.
