I am getting little ticked off - no insider trading legislation, and with these drones there are congressmen and their families, the contractors and their employees, the bankers, and probably the intelligence community all in on the options trading, and the rest of us have no clue.
We should chase them down with these drones and s---t them all.
Tell the Senate "NO"
Time to mobilize again. The Senate is considering an outrageously expensive, largely unpaid-for highway bill that will blow a big hole in the deficit. They are also considering aid to Egypt, which is now, for all intents and purposes, run by the rabidly anti-American Islamists of the Muslim Broth...
The $4.9 billion budget of the Department of Energy's Office of Science would rise by 2.4%, to $5 billion. In contrast, the National Science Foundation would receive a nearly 5% boost, to $7.37 billion, and the National Institute of Standards and Technology a hike of 13%, to $860 million. These three agencies were originally singled by President George W. Bush in 2006 for a 10-year budget doubling, a promise that President Barack Obama and Congress have repeatedly endorsed despite the current tough economic times.
-----
This is dumb. How can they deal with waste, fraud, and abuse .... by constantly increasing the budget? And so what if these programs are creating ed opportunities for minorities.. send your kid to science camp sorts of things.. it is just a waste but Californians seem to like it. It provides a feel good moment.
What They Need To Do
The Republican candidates for president will appear before CPAC over the next day or so to try to win over thousands of conservatives who have major reservations about each of them. They have their work cut out for them. Mitt Romney has to convince the crowd that he is one of them or at least w...
I'm not following everything going on here. I've been thinking about solar irradiance and the climate.
One interesting fact - At 35K feet, you get overexposed from radiation after about 75K air miles. That means you can fly coast to coast only every other week, before your DNA cracks, your organs shrivel, and your skin sags. If you fly during an ejection event, you could receive your yearly dose on one flight.
Ha! Do you suppose they taught Obama about this at Harvard? I'll bet he flies, regardless. No sense worrying about things you do not see.

Well, we'll see.... boxed seats at the Republican convention will start say, at 100K, depending on who shows... then the prices can be adjusted.
Obama's Beloved 1 Percent
The hypocrisy coming from Barack Obama knows no bounds. He is utterly shameless. Devoid of principle. Doesn't care that what he says and what he does are two vastly different things---because he knows the leftwing media will never call him on it. The latest Obama mega-hypocrisy: after spending ...
Obama wants to place drones above the US - 30,000 of them by 2020 according to the Washington Times. Google is one thing- but that many drones spying on everyone in the country is privacy invasion and violates our right of free association : Life, LIBERTY, and pursuit... of Happiness. Drones are a pursuit, but not of happiness for very many. It is hard to imagine a senario that would call for such surveillance - Mexican revolt possibly.
If people are allowed to use drones for commercial surveillance - we should have the right to shoot them down with surface to air missiles.
Rick's Time
Alas, it's now Rick's time to bask in the warm glow of Republican primary approval. Yesterday, Rick Santorum won all three primary and caucus contests in Missouri, Minnesota and Colorado. By a lot. In each state. Technically, not a lot was at stake. Few delegates were up for grabs, and media at...
Santorum was right-on, when it came to global warming. He stopped short though, of saying the scientists heavily promoting anthropogenic global warming are committing fraud, and scientific misconduct. People like Michael Mann, Richard Alley, Heyhoe, etc, are all attempting to gain political influence, position, and salary - by intentionally bulldogging people into going along. To them, science is nothing but influence peddling. There are people outside academic science doing likewise - science journalists, and administrators.
BTW: 100 years ago today, Raold Amundsen was sailing north for Hobart, Tasmania from his post on the Ross Ice Shelf - after having reached the S Pole in Dec-1911. He used the voyage, to write and translate press releases and lectures, and draw charts of his exploits (and possibly to obtain a haircut). The sailing voyage was beset by gale force winds from the N, that caused his smooth-bottomed ship to roll wildly. He arrived Mar-07-1912.

The facts came from the EIA, a government Energy Bureau. WE could be self-sufficient in energy, surely over the short haul if necessary, and for as long as we accept fracking.
Concerns grow over volcanic eruptions
This is another fake scare by the USGS. Most people know that a volcano that erupts is likely to re-erupt, usually with a smaller impact over time until the next big one. This is the finding of these studies using Be dating on lavas. They want to get priority for spending, throwing in a desire for the use of satellites for monitoring. that is the most expensive way to do this work- actually geodetic nets on the ground are as good and cost far less, and people can actually get away from their desktop computers to boot.
Shucks, they may not be able to work from home.
The Donald and The Mitt
There are two reasons why today's endorsement by Donald Trump of Mitt Romney matters: 1. For all of Trump's huff n' puff, he could have still launched a third party candidacy, if simply out of a drive for ever-more publicity. The endorsement takes that off the table, which ought to relieve anyb...

Some interesting facts about oil : The global recession has actually caused a decrease in oil consumption. In the US, peak consumption was in 2008. Current consumption is 3M bbls/day less. We have considerably expanded our production, and we are now exporting enough energy to basically provide our current consumptive needs- although we still import from abroad rather than use our own.

Wisconsin vs. Illinois
Illinois is being run the way Obama is running the nation. His home state is a microcosm of the country under Obama. With its tax hikes, stifling regulations and astronomical government-union obligations, Illinois just received a credit downgrade. Meanwhile, next door in Wisconsin, Republican Sco...

Put Your Big $$$ Where Your Big Mouth Is, Buffett

On New Hampshire, Part II
Now that we have results from yesterday's primary, let's recap where we are in the Republican presidential race: The Dominant Guy, Mitt Romney, remains dominant. He won in New Hampshire by a large margin, which was predicted but now that it's a reality, he's got real momentum heading into South...
An italian banker, entrepreneur Giuseppe Rotelli, has purchased a biomedical research center. What happens next, is the questione. Will be kick the researchers out, sell off their equipment, and resell the research facility as a hospital or clinic? Will he entertain proposals for research? This had been the old US model for research, util a Harvard psychologist committed suicide for nonperformance on a loan. He had promised mind control, and then could not deliver partly because of ethical issues in experimental testing on humans.
Perhaps Rotelli would be interested in a partly bionic man, or a brain-computer interface.

If a leaf falls, deep in a dark forest, does it matter if it exists? Not sure.
Our legislative lawyers, and Al Gore, have rigged up science results, and call it policy. The scientists tell us they go along because 1)they get paid; 2) it is too expensive to generate real answers.
WE are now being told that 1) There is no global warming; 2) There is no CFC induced ozone hole anywhere; 3) NO environmental damage due to PCBs; and 4) No damage done by DDT (latest). Perhaps they will tell us that Agent Orange was good for the forest, and retards cancer.
If they really want to save money in Science, why not just have the lawyers give statements directly to the press and leave out the middle man? Are they too English?
Presidential "Czar"
Over the last few years, President Obama has appointed various "czars" to "oversee" everything from "green jobs" to "climate change" to the auto industry and health care. These "czars" did not require Congressional approval and remain totally unaccountable to anyone but Obama. They serve at his c...
Katharine Hayhoe, besides misleading farmers with false claims about the growing season, has been rejected by Newt Gingrich, he throwing out a climate chapter in his book written by her primarily, because he found out she was just a shallow bible study person, who is really a liberal poli-sci person, who was also given a position as a climatologist at Texas Tech.
Amazing isn't it? Katherine is both a prof. of Poli Sci and of Climate, and now a member of a bible study.
All this would be amusing, if not satisfying because Newt came to his climate senses. What is bothersome, is that Katharine is also a ranking member of the IPCC.
Romney, Santorum and Paul....Oh My!
We now have the first race of 2012 under our belts. It was simultaneously exciting and boring. Exciting because it was a three-way race for much of the night, then it was a two-way race between the Dominant Guy and the Dark Horse, and then it was the Dominant Guy by a mere 8 votes. Boring because...

Santa is looking around to see who needs presents - amazingly, China has many empty houses with no one in them for presents, but .... back in the USA, the docks are brimming with stuff for presents, but it is just stacked up and the kids have few gifts, so he is going to give his presents to US children.

How pandering to Special Interests is killing the US
People are losing teeth and unable to support their children because of this Washington habit, but it is also an American habit of pandering to the noblesse, without the oblige.
As an example, take a wealthy family whose listless daughter works at IHOP, who becomes the head of a library system, complete with a degree thrown in , because her parents want it for her. A few pieces of paper get thrown around and presto, chango, everything is different. It is possible for this sort of thing to get out of hand- with highly talented people tossed aside and the IHOP girl getting the stamp of approval.
A more familiar example might be Chelsea Clinton, who did not even bother to obtain the degree. What NBC gets is access and intangibles through GE and the Democratic Party, and we the public get a mouthpiece for their agenda- rather than the actual news of the nation - children without support, parents without jobs… etc. What we inherit is a broken down economic plan in the guise of a new "journalist", and a false sense of normalcy.
The same is happening in Science, where a privileged few get access to information, and they report on items as they see fit, paid for by the taxpayer, and no one else can comment because they do not have access. A process like this happens because someone in Washington panders to a special interest and it gets set up. For example, a favored son likes to hunt, so he is set up at a university as an environmentalist, for the sake of ensuring his family gets first dibs on any public offerings of resources. This happens frequently. What does this do to bio-science, where "independent researchers" present results to the public making claims about the efficacy of drugs? Clearly, their messages are corrupted by special interests as junior researchers find out when confronted with a stark contrast between what one person says and their results.
What we need do, is to let people know what is being rigged up. Too often these secrets are kept to preserve this social ordering, with the pandering few selling out everyone else. The worm gets the apple. With any broken down process, it pays to examine the special interest rigging.
Pandering to Special interests -WASHINGTON, YOU are just KILLING ME..
Freedom and Tyranny
Over the past day or so, we've gotten the news of the deaths of two prominent global leaders: former Czech president Vaclav Havel and North Korean dictator Kim Jong Il. The two men could not have been more different. Havel was a brave voice in the wilderness of communist hell. Locked and brutal...

A Japanese researcher at the Univ. of WI, has a program that involves the intentional modification of viruses so as to make them into dangerous weapons. He currently is engaged in the attempt to publish his results so other people will know how to weaponize the same viruses he uses, those endemic to the region in which he works - Minnesota, WI, and Michigan.
They are arguing about whether he should be allowed to publish these results, which is amazing since ... he should never have had a research program like this approved and funded in the first place.
The system is broken down. There are too many foreign people in US programs, who have little or no affinity for our country. This is what makes this possible.
As far as I know, this guy has not been arraigned, .. his research materials are not secured.
Help, HELP.

Cage Match

Romney still holds a commanding lead in New Hampshire, but it's been dramatically cut by in-roads from Gingrich over the past few weeks. The other can...
Bubba and Tony Blair were both being paid by Corzine, as consultants- to improve Corzine's reputation. We,ll - they should give their money back! Clinton received 50K per mo, and presumably so did Blair. If Clinton is the agent for the Rockafeller Foundation, and Soros, the question arises : ARe the Clintons carrying out a program that is heedless of banking acct holders, carrying out a foreign agenda that is nonalined with US policy and interests? In fact, could Hillary be cvausing problems with the Russians, to obtain leverage with Obama with the banks, and banking agenda.
If the Rockafellers and Rothchilds are behind forcing these institutions into the ground, shouldn't they pay for the damages?
I would place taps on the Clintons comms, including Chelsea. Perhaps Newscorp could help them out, or perhaps NewsC could direct the Occupy99. The O99 group looks scurvey-riddled with bad teeth, but they are electronically hep.
Bubba's Two Cents
The boy can't help it. Bill Clinton, our 42nd president and national treasure, just can't stop himself from chiming in about the GOP presidential race. Of course, with Bubba, there's always a double message and an ulterior motive. Of Newt Gingrich, Clinton said: "He is, first, resilient. An...
Larry King, was to use Cryonics to preserve his body, so he might be revived later. Now, the 1% often do not know what to do with their money, do they?
NO ONE, has ever been awakened. Earlier freezings - suffered from cell breakage due to ice crystals. No one has survived the anoxic brain. There are also thermal contraction, expansion effects. Most likely, the basic idea is seriously flawed. They have no idea of how to freeze people. Almost beyond any doubt, they are deader than a doornail.
