I read this: "A horrified Mr Schmidt informed her that that the prime minister, then Gordon Brown, would be responsible for the decision." And I call BULLSHIT. If Schmidt was so 'horrified' and wanted to 'Put Country First' then he would have QUIT THE CAMPAIGN and/or had Sister Sarah dropped from the ticket. He did neither.
The Gitmo Boys seen here were shot on East 42nd Street right in front of NYC's Grand Central Station:
When I lived in Silicon Valley in the late 1990s I labeled these uptight Puritan Prüdes as being: The New Victorians The FB Mob, as well as the entire rest of the Web 2.0 Gang, including Mister Steve 'Freedom From PrÖn' Jobs of Apple has that same mentality... On STEROIDS. So glad I'm not in my 20s. I really feel like the sad silent old man sitting in the Beer Garden at the 1:39 Mark in this scene from Cabaret here witnessing the sad spectacle of the virulent fever and frenzy completely sweeping through and overcoming the crowd. I think, if things keep going the way they are, just like the Germans back then, we won't be able to control them either, once they get past a certain point.

Today is Apple, Blueberry, Pecan, Cherry and Key Lime π Day. I'm with Mickey, I think the Key Lime π should have Its Day In Court:
It's Minnesota's Birfday today too:

Wal-Mart averages around $25,000.00 dollars in *profit* each and every minute of the day, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, which is roughly the sum total of the property this idiot destroyed in 30 seconds. Which means that for Wal-Mart to have zero profit year 250,000 people would have to do the same thing. I say we organize and completely send the wrong message to the Private Property is Holy class by setting up a fund to cover the costs of the 29 HDTVs he destroyed. Just because. It would be like killing 2 birds with one stone. Wal-Mart gets all its precious monies back, and the Kill Your Television Movement gets a real shot in the arm, and scads of PR for a nominal cost. Of course Mister Strellis still gets to go to jail for this egregious breach of the Social Contract.
Hey now, Honolulu is #27. Do you really want to add fuel to the fire and feed the Birfer Conspiracists on that one? Note that not only are 7 of the Top Ten most livable cities are in Europe, but also that German is spoken in all 7 of them. One thing I'd fault the methodology on is that there seems to be a 1 to1 correlation between how expensive a city is and where it ranks on the list. Berlin is way to cheaper to live in than Munich, but I don't think that sort of thing figures in with the Editorial Board of Business Week.
This just went viral in a big way. When our friend Derek first posted it on the mailing list we're on I was going to leave a comment on it but got pulled away on another task and so I still have the tab open. That page on YouTube shows that at that time it had only 217 views and now today it is closing in on 195,000 views. Nice. I'll be doing a reply video, starting with the main point being that 4 out 5 Americans surveyed do not have a Passport, havew never left the USA and therefore have no clue what life outside the US is like, shortly and will cross post it here. Tired of these liars whipping up ignorant people to further their agenda.
