I am trained both by the Military (USMC) and now in my capacity in Law Enforcement (State of Illinois), there is no such thing as "shoot to wound", either shoot to kill or don't shot.

As far as the law goes, depending on the state, dude should be arrested. If the kid had been inside the house, whole nother matter.

I understand what you are saying. We get it, we all agree that people shouldn't contribute to stereotypes. However; the concept of white superiority and white privilege in the United States is not going to end if every kid pulled up their pants, the thing that ultimately those who have a racist / white supremacist mindset hate is something we can't change, our skin. I think the problem most people have with Lemon, is the same problem they have had with Charles Barkley and Romany Malco is not that they commented on real issues that affect the African American community, but their implication that somehow any of that invalidates the righteous outrage people felt about not just the verdict of the Zimmerman trial but more to the point the demonization of Trayvon Martin as a "thug" that somehow invited his death at the hands of Zimmerman. So, Lemon, Barkley and Malco made valid points, however; those points really didn't speak to the issue that has caused this discussion.

I can understand where Don was coming from, however; in the context of this whole Zimmerman / Martin issue, I just find that people wanting to throw in saggin pants, etc. is silly. Different issues, all I am saying.

I'd say that it is a pretty good bet the brotha has a self hate issue. It is NOT the same, it is a sociological indicator of issues. Could I be wrong, in some cases perhaps, but I have found this to be a pretty consistent indicator of such self hate mindsets. Just saying...
