I'm just having a difficult time wrapping my brain around the possibility that the greatest relief pitcher in the history of the game - greatest closer certainly - ended his career shagging flies in Kansas City, and not walking off the Yankee Stadium mound after closing out a win, basking in the cheers he so richly deserves. Ugh.

HR would be great here, Swish!

He's channeling his inner Rick Vaughn, pre glasses.

I think I owe you an apology, Devine! :-)

Wow, impressive inning by Colon Blow!

I want some of whatever Devine's smoking.

Shaping up to be a football game-like final score today. Over/under on 20 runs? :-)

Tex is insane! Welcome to NY, Andruw!

Cash seems to have erased the memory of Scott Proctor's 2006 season from his hard drive. 83 games, 102 IP. Had a great season that year, but never really been the same pitcher since. Missed a season to injury and just got sent down to AAA by Atlanta.

Looks like the A's draw about the same in Spring Training as they do during the regular season. ;-)

Couldn't agree with you more, IH. The large picture of Stein looming over right field is bad enough, but this plaque is too much. Tacky, is the word that comes to mind.

And for that matter, will Worm-Killer be one as well?

That's a good analysis of Swish. I wasn't too excited about his signing, particularly after Tex was signed. Speaking of Tex...let's do some damage here!

Well, that was wishful thinking. But the walk ends Millwood's evening.

Prediction...Damon goes yard here.

Can't believe they didn't try to throw out Hideki at the plate, given his lack of speed. Tie game...I'll take that. Way to break up the DP, Cervelli!

Swish is just brutal.

GODZILLA!!!! Nice job!

There we go!

I can't be too hard on Joba. He didn't have great stuff tonight, but he battled and we're still in this game. Now Gardner gets on again. Let's see him steal his way around again!

Alfredo with a nice inning there.

Shoulder sprain...day to day.

God, I love watching Tex play first base!

Yeah, twice in one game. Stupid.

OK, cross your fingers. Bottom of five coming up.
