Meet Joe. Joe came into my life when I was only 4 years old. He is my step-father. For the past 16 years, my biological dad and I have not had a real relationship. I feel very blessed and grateful that I have Joe. He has never, not once, called me his step-daughter, he calls me his little girl. He was the one who kissed boo boo's when I was little. He is the one who would interigate my dates when I was in high school. He PATIENTLY taught me how to drive and took me to get my licsense. He was the one who would try his hardest to help me with my algebra homework. He's the one who let's me cry on his shoulder when I get my heartbroken. He's the one who says those guys don't deserve me. He will be the one who will give his approval to the man of my dreams. He will be the one to walk me down the aisle. He will be the one to give me away on my wedding day. He will be the one that my children will one day call "Granpa". Joe has been there for me when my real dad wasn't. He has never let me down, and he never will. Joe showed me that being a father is irrevelant, but being a daddy is a choice. And he made the choice to be my daddy. I love you, Joe. xoxo - your Dani
