What gets me is the Republican lay down. There is something really rotten about this. I posted speculation on this the other day, but it is very possible that the Bush White House had the Able Danger stuff and did nothing about it either. I mean Kean is obviously paddling upstream in a leaky boat but the other Republicans on the committee are hard nosed conservatives. What gives? It is clear that the real chair of the committee was BenVeniste and he ran over everyone.
