RIP Marta. Your post is the first I heard of her passing last month. I've seen her a few times, when she performed on stage, when she performed from a wheelchair, and then seemed to be rendered mute when I last saw here in the hotel lobby, possibly 2014. I was there on Saturday night on the opposite side of the balcony from where your shot was taken. Great production. I'm surprised you didn't mention that Akhnaten makes his entrance nude, or what appeared to be nude from where I was sitting. I did not see Philip Glass on Saturday Night, likely I missed him. I met him in 1971 in Houston, TX, where this opera premiered in 1984. He wasn't famous yet.

Here's an item. At CES in Las Vegas on Wednesday, January 6, VW introduced their "Budd-E" electric mini van. Self driving capabilities were shown for the 240 mile range of the new concept car on the touch screen of the vanlet as a map going from San Francisco, thru Sacramento, and on to "Festival" where footage of Camp Walter was shown. So the New electric VW is made for, um, "Festival".
