Terribly sad for all concerned but perhaps an honourable way for a terrier like Scruff to go - in action. I was only thinking to myself yesterday what I'd do when Edwyn goes, and came to the conclusion that the only way to cope would be to have a young scamp of a pup to keep my mind and hands occupied........but I do know lots of people feel so heartbroken it takes a while to persuade......

I share your shame.....I only have to tap the letter D in to google and up pops the DM..... Guilty pleasure indeed!
Happy Birthday Max! Sounds like his party will be a blast. And what is it with this generation of teenagers - they all seem to be obsessed with Musicals! And they don't go just once! No, most you will find can discuss the merits of various different leads...Well that's the impression I get from those I know and am related to.... It sounds like Max's party will be quite a production, I hope he has a great day.

Yes! Hairdressers DO make me fidgety, and no matter if I ask for a 'casual' blow dry, they always seem to spend an age making my hair looking totally alien , and then I end up feigning a yes, that's lovely expression.... You see I do blow dry my hair. But I blow dry it upside down, then flip it all to the left, blow dry, flip it to the right, blow dry, and voila! It's done! And with volume. Not exactly a polished look, but it works for me.... Would love to dry this gadget though, but before spending £40....

What a fabulous kitchen! I love the waist high fire, such a great idea. And the adorable Barney... a most cosy vantage point, no mistaking it's HIS chair....
Oh dear! That looks like a very dangerous place indeed........
How rotten! How fortunate you're not a convicted litter dropper, as who knows what kind of interrogation that might have led to..... But it is a horrible thing to have to deal with and leaves one feeling quite shaken, and home not quite the sanctuary it once was in my experience. Well, all this bad luck really ought to be making way for something truly wonderful to happen......

The linea stem pieces are my favourite and I love the turned wooden lids, fab! Definately one for the Christmas list. Infact I think the easiest thing to do is just send family a link to your blog........

I too am am getting more confused about what age I am, so I laughed out loud when you summed it up so eloquently. And I love your Mum's dresser, the mint green walls and lovely cream painted door. Love to you both.

I wish I could make it, it looks like a really great venue. London is a little far away and all the airports are closed today because of volcanic ash in the air!! Have fun!
Thank you for such a useful post. You are a mine of information and an inspiration! I love it that you are so open and generous with your knowledge. How did you know? HTML and CSS elicit a spontaneous brain shut down BUT I know I can't avoid it forever - unfortunately! Louise UK
It is so lovely to read this! I've found you by a roundabout way, and am loving everything I read and see. You have put into words so much I can relate to: am I furniture designer? or am I 'just' someone who sews all day.... Not knowing what to call myself and marry the two worlds. It is so helpful to read this, as I'm sure it is for so many people. Perhaps I should put into words my particular storey..... Thanks for the lift you have given me x

I love "The business of being Small" idea, and feel I could benefit a great deal from your experience! I trained as a furniture designer, worked in architectural practices and am now establishing my own small business and back to the symbiotic relationship of designing and making. Must be why I was attracted to your lovely products and beautifully designed blog and shop! I look forward to reading more.... Louise
