Please tell Lucy not to lose heart, she will get there in the end. EXACTLY the same thing happened to my nephew when he applied to medical school so he took a gap year too. Then he went to Birmingham Uni and is now a working doctor, just about to do the registrars exams. It makes it me fume that they make it so hard for our talented and dedicated youngsters, after all training to be a doctor is hardly a walk in the park, is it? And I can't think of a more worthwhile job. Grr! I am very cross on your behalf. As always, your words are wonderful Jane, I hope they offer Lucy comfort. Great tracks too. Much love Claire x

Hi Emma, i did have a short delay in one of my orders but it was because it was sent back to them (4candles). On investigation it was a fault with their e form. It missed out the house number form my address. Maybe its worth investigating that. i didnt have a problem in not being able to get through to them though. i hope all your stuff turns up soon. Claire

awww - Sairer - I hate to think that you might have to go through the same soon. :-( I am comforted that it was the right thing to do. It is terrible to see someone you love, animal or human, fade away in front of your eyes. After all, you suffered a far greater loss when you lost your niece. I remember that amazing film that had her words on. What an amazing gift she left us all. I wish you could be there on Saturday too but its been nice to catch up even if it is just online. Claire xxx

Your cats are being kind to you. They know that their fluff will eventually drive you potty on that black rug! I love it by the way! And I'm with you on the black floral rug wish. I've wanted one for ages. Actually, thinking about it, my sis had a rug made up to her design and colours so if you want details about who and where, just let me know.

"The first time I ever saw your face" by Roberta Flack. I used to think it was a love song but now I think it is when a parent sees their child for the first time. Oh, it's a blub fest here, when I hear that. Thanks for sharing your list. And I agree with choirs and hymns. I love 'em!

The jam IS delicious so that is one blessing! Thank you for your prayers, they are most welcome. I think if it is meant to be ours it will . . . and if not it is a blessing to be happy with what you already have. And in my heart I am (most of the time.) i love your pouffe ( such a seventies word, don't you agree?) I never knew Mr Kipling did packs of just pink ones. I will have to get to the shops before they all sell out! yum! Am coming up behind you on the bathroom makeover but I think I get the prize for the longest make over - over 2 years and counting! Can't wait to see your pix.

Your photos are a lot better than some of that "art" on show. Oh yes! I'm sure many people will agree. P.s i alway have to stifle a snigger when those terribly earnest types spout a load of arty stuff.
