It's winter here so I'm really loving reds, aqua and chocolate at the moment. Those pinks and greens would be perfect to celebrate spring, if it ever gets here..... Lizzie xxx

Hmm, which tradition to tell you about, seems the whole season is tradition for us. The biggest I guess is Christmas dinner, being English background it's still the whole turkey, pork and ham thing. Then Dad (who's 83) gets to tell the story of how he asked for seconds of Christmas pud when he was a little tacker, couldn't finish it and had to sit there for ages (the time changes every year), even his great grandkids know it off by heart now!! I love it. Lizzie xxx

I love the peace, quiet and tranquility of our country home. I love that my husband and I made a little old weatherboard into the house we always wanted. I love that my home is a meeting place for family and friends who need to escape busy city life and I love knowing that this is where will stay....forever!! Lizzie xxx

So sorry to hear that you suffered damage in the horrible storms. We were lucky up here, just lots and lots of rain. Willow is very cute, should take about five minutes to become a dog family with those big browns looking at you longingly! Lizzie xxx
Those colours look positively delicious Lynette. Can't wait to see the whole thing. Lizzie xxx

What an amazing giveaway, very generous. I would love to use this fabric for an applique (my first love). I've been wanting to make a Baltimore type quilt but using modern fabric, Botany looks as if it would be ideal. Perhaps like this one, I happen to have this pattern; http://www.fatquartershop.com/store/stores_app/Browse_Item_Details.asp?sid=79962272357477996&Store_id=499&page_id=23&Item_ID=36982&Parent_Ids= Will be keeping my fingers crossed. Have a great week. Lizzie xxx

I've just started working with wool and I'm loving it too, but still can't put in a stitch without my thimble either. The other day I found myself at the post office picking up mail - still wearing my thimble!! Funny! Lizzie xxx
