I have noticed, over the last year, that the less attention I pay to mainstream "women's" magazines, the less TV I watch, and the fewer "fashion" blogs I read - and the more body-positive, feminist blogs and publications that I read - that I am now less critical, more accepting of my body than at any point since teenager-hood. Unfortunately, my positive attitude about my body does not spill over into anyone else's perception of my body. I am intrigued by the idea of sewing one's own clothing as a radical form of self-love.
