Hi Sandy, I've read some of your comments on the Typepad site, and i've really enjoyed reading your posts. There's a facebook page that is currently gathering comments and posts from fans of Avatar. It is my understanding that they are trying to put these comments and posts of appreciation into a book to send to the makers of Avatar. If you'd like the join the facebook group is Avatar: The Typepad Group. I'd like to see more of Pandora and the Na'vi....
I'd like to see more of Pandora and the Na'vi. What is the weather like on Pandora? What is the rest of the planet like? Are there any poisonous bugs or snakes that the Na'vi have to avoid? I also want to know how the Na'vi go the captured corporate workers and mercenaries back to earth--what did...

Hey guys! Just a reminder that a couple of us have started something great. =) Like Jeremy just posted, We are going to send James Cameron a book with our feelings for the movie AVATAR, images of ourselves, fan art, and signatures. Just to show him what he has created has inspired many of us. So ...

This is terrible. I've been in a car for 12 hours, and all I had been thinking about was Avatar. What do I do as soon as I get out of the car? Get on my laptop and come here! Ahhh!!!!!!! Anyway, I need to get my Avatar fix before going to bed. Anyone know of a website that breaks down and explain...

Friggen eh... already have plans to see it again not once but twice this week. I'm glad Avatar reached the $1 billion dollar benchmark, but I do wonder how it compares with inflation. Think about it. How much were tickets in theaters when Titanic came out? (I couldn't really tell you bc my parents bought the tickets back then haha.) I've also noticed with Avatar that quite A LOT of people have seen this movie at least once or twice, which makes me wonder how many other movies have fans going to theaters to see their movie for a second, third, or tenth time.
Avatar Passes $1 Billion in 17 Days
Looks as though James Cameron has created another Titanic-sized movie: Avatar passed the $1 billion mark worldwide this weekend, “only the fifth movie in history to ever do so,” says FirstShowing.net. “It only needs $800 million more worldwide to pass Titanic, could it happen?” Well, “haters m...

Cleber, Sandy, and Nick very well put. I would also comment on other people's posts as well, but quite frankly that would take too long, and Cleber mentioned most already.
To be honest, I really don't have anything to say that has not been said already. HOWEVER,
I don't think I saw anyone mention this. If I am not mistaken, Pandora was a moon of a much larger planet in the Alpha Centauri Solar System. Maybe the squeakel (sorry, Alvin and the Chipmunks stuck in my head) could include both Pandora and the planet that it revolves around? I mean if Pandora was the moon of that other planet, can you imagine how much more beauty and life would exist on that other planet?
Also, I just wanted to comment on the absolute beauty of Pandora itself. I agree with what everyone has said about the connection the Na'vi have with their planet, and that we lack that bond or even respect for our own planet. While Pandora may have been just a dream, it should be a dream that each and every one of us should try to achieve. Maybe that's why Cameron made Pandora the way it was, to send a message to viewers that we all should work to obtain that world of sheer beauty and magic.
Thanks to everyone for your posts. I'm glad to know that I am not going insane and that other people share the same views. It's just watching that movie has really hit me deep and made me do A LOT of introspection in as much as to see how far we have come from only a decade ago. Happy New Year all. I wonder what will happen in the next 10 years.
James Cameron's Next Movie After AVATAR
With Avatar's success, what's James Cameron's next project? There are a few possibilities: Early bets revolve around Battle Angel, an adaptation of a Japanese manga series called Battle Angel Alita. Although Cameron's put a year into development, he's not yet sure he wants to do the film. Came...
