Mad Dipoko, When you rant around in Up Station Mountain Club abusing Southern Cameroonians haphazardly and portraying your xenophobic self, one thought you could stand the heat of hardcore activist like NebaFuh. His usual style of writing which is not unfamiliar to us who know him has sent you panting. First grade coward!
This is an antithesis for you, Lazy bootlicker, slave of the 21st century, pretending to be who he is not! More articles like this will take you to the drawing board of your cubicle wherever it is found. Go and prepare your garbage of insults as usual and come to Up Station Mountain Club to seek cheap popularity. Nonentity!!!
Biya's Anniversary Letter: A Failure's Incantation
By Steve Neba-Fuh In a letter to a nation, one would expect a 77-year-old man who has ruled for 27years, to present a platter of human and social developmental strides that have marked his tenure this far at the helm of the nation. and how these achievements can be preserved by future ge...
I am sure Mr Francois Ngoubene(alleged embezzler) is an Anglophone too, by 'Prof-Dr squared' Alain Dipoko's analysis? The Chief thief, Biya and all his accomplices in and out of Kondengui are all anglophones?
Sadly enough 'Prof Dr-squared' is the lone Phd whose name is hard to find or non existent in Google archives, except when it concerns his comments on 'Up Station Mountain Club'. That is his own publisher. You are becoming excited with the apparent popularity 'Up Station Mountain Club' is giving you. Maybe his myopic opinions on Anglophones are his thesis. Dipoko, I challenge you to unveil. Introduce yourself and cite your scholarship if you have any.
Embezzlement at Cameroon Embassy in USA
Mr. François Ngoubene
Percepteur
9001 Gettysburg Lane
College Park , MD 20740
Dear Mr. Ngoubene,
It has been brought to our attention that you and your family have been involved with squandering an exorbitant amount of money and resources from the Cameroon government and its taxpayers. Over the years since you were assigned to the Cameroon Embassy in Washington , DC , your embezzlement of public funds has been enormous. This was made possible by the huge payments for unrelated official expenses like the following:
a) Life and medical insurance for your family and your girl friend, Ms. Angeli Abitangbina from WAMSI Life and Health in the monthly amount of $8,402.08.
b) Monthly mortgage payments for your home, $4,061.73 and that of your concubine $761.59 both withdrawn from the Embassy of Cameroon’s account with Sun Trust Bank.
c) Tuition and other ineligible expenses for your children who attended Georgetown University .
d) Money laundering for Cameroonian officials and others, a very serious “criminal offense”.
e) Purchasing and building of homes in the United States and Cameroon for you and your above named concubine.
Your withdrawal of money from the Embassy’s accounts for your PERSONAL use and that of your family, concubine and friends in just 2007 alone, amounted to over US$1 million dollars. We have verifications for documents from Citibank and Eagle Bank to substantiate and defend our accusations.
Could you explain why the bank account of the Cameroon Embassy has your home address and not that of the Embassy on 2349 Massachusetts Avenue? In our research, there is evidence to prove that no other diplomatic representation in Washington, DC , except Cameroon , has an employee using his home address for official and business accounts. Is this why the Cameroon Embassy’s accounts with local banks were closed for illegal activities? Can you also justify having seven (7) cars registered in your name and those of your family members with the US State Department with diplomatic licenses.
You have been engaged in these dishonorable practices since you transferred from Belgium to the United States with impunity claiming that you are “untouchable” because of your connections with some government officials in Cameroon . Please note that these illegal activities have not gone unnoticed. They have indeed been documented and reported to both the governments of the United States and Cameroon .
Below is an example of some of your monthly expenditures out of the Embassy of Cameroon’s account:
1) Check # 5178 to your wife, Therese Ngoubene US$ 5,000.00
2) Check # 5000 to your daughter, Caroline US$ 5,000.00
3) Check # 5176 to your son, Dany US$ 3,738.83
4) Checks # 5179, 5168 & 4126 to your driver, Assoua Jean
($5,000 each) US$15,000.00
5) Checks # 5170 & 5173 to your friend, Metuk Charles US$10,000.00
6) Check # 5170 to your Adm. Asst., Mbassa Patience US$ 5,000.00
As for your concubine, Ms. Abitangbina Angeli, you can recall that in 2007, she received among other checks, the amount of US$40,000 for home leave to Cameroon which was deemed unacceptable by the Minister of Foreign Affairs. The following monthly checks, #5188: US$3,194.44; # 5087: US$3,028.74 & #5207: US$4,352.00 were also issued to her.
Please be informed that these illegal activities of yours have been brought to the attention of the Cameroon government and its citizens (taxpayers), and the US government for prosecution. We can no longer be silent especially about the most serious crime of “money laundering” in the United States and other developed countries that are providing donor funds to countries in Africa that people like you and others are misusing to enrich yourselves.
Sincerely,
Concerned Citizens of the Republic of Cameroon

Arnold Mbu and VA Boy failed to pick up the rhetorical sarcasm of Sali's opinion. The fact is nobody takes from you what you don't give them, at least not all the time; and if your home is beautiful, you will gladly return to it if you feel unwelcome in someone else home.
Xenophobia has no place in today's world but that does not mean Africans should not be xenophobic to Westerners who have constantly exploited them from their material and human resources since the era of slave trade. The lack of xenophobic attitude by our leaders towards constant exploitative western adventures in Africa has caused the underdevelopment of the continent. You can't embrace somebody who constantly prefers a handshake. Our Presidents stashed billions in Western vaults while the people die in poverty. Our presidents own mega hospitals in Europe while their people lack medicine in the health centres. Our presidents spend 1 million euros for a three week vacation while African children lack classrooms to sit and study. In as much as Europeans are to be blamed for Africans underdevelopment, African dictators can do better to improve the situations of their countries. I believe that's the point Sali was trying to drive through. Botswana today is a good example of a country which is trying to manage its diamond resources for the good of its people. Therefore, while Africans come out to Europe to reclaim their 'stolen wealth', we should step up resistance to those tyrants who rule African countries.

Mr Alain Dipoko, How can one force a mad man to put on clothes if he decides to walk naked?
Or hush him down when he rants nonsense. No one can 'censor' you. You are not worth censoring.

You are no visionary. A disgrace to the intellectual cream of La Republique who are gradually acknowledging the Southern Cameroons issue. Of course you aren't an intellectual. You will surely blame Southern Cameroonians for not tarring the road to your village, or not providing medicine for your sick in your poor village in La Republique, even though oil is tapped in their back yard. Then the scattered peanuts you receive as wages in wherever you are, will embolden you to glorify a stealing master. Real quisling. M.M.M.M,I know it sucks that your 'Monsieur l'Ambassadeur' has been arrested. Don't mind if you need his address or any contacts to go help him, it is now public: Kondengui Maximum Prison, Yaounde, Cameroun.
Your emphatic 'NO' above indicates that you have already made your own judgement, aided by your computer keyboard and access to internet. Remember that the fact that a 'proof' has not been found, does not mean that it doesn't exist. Leave it to the courts, or else I will bundle and dump you with those who kept asking 'Ou sont les preuves?' while mass corruption was going on in Cameroon for years. M.M.M.M, the arrest or detention of any Cameroonian suspected of embezzlement should be good news to all, even you, no matter the circumstances. If you are not happy, then you are not a patriotic Cameroonian or maybe you are not even a cameroonian.

Anyway, Good luck in your defence of 'Monsieur L'Ambassadeur'

African dictators may start adopting this way out when they rig elections. Kenya survived by it, Zimbabwe is next... and so on. A Government of unity is good, but let it be formed after free and fair elections, not otherwise. Africans must check this whole idea of compromise politics, as described by political analyst NebaFuh. Compromise politics will stagnate Africa's young democracy for a long time.
Compromise Politics-A Way out For African Autocrats.
By Neba-Fuh
Generally , Africans have a vexing tendency to always dwell on the 'bad, worse and worst' comparison. They rarely dwell on positive comparison , that is,' the good , better and best' situations. When established dictators are under all kinds of pressure to relinquish power, fellow Africans come out with defensive negative comparisons insinuating that, these autocrats are not worse than their contemporaries. It is like the student who took the last-but-one position in his end of year class exams, but was quick to point out that at least, he wasn't the last in the class.
When we decry the dictatorial rule of the Biya regime, some analysts rush to point out that he is not worse than his neighbours. When there is an opportunity to oust dictators like Mugabe of Zimbabwe, who has plunged his country into an economic quagmire coupled with extreme brutalization of his people because of their political opinions, fellow Africans come out with all kinds of negative comparisons and hypotheses. They hail him for pushing an African Economic Independence fight, while staging a '2,200,000% inflation' economy. They condemn legendary Mandela for leaving power only after five years as President of South Africa, and chastise him for not taking up the 'African Economic Independence fight' , just to defend Mugabe's sadistic regime . What a shame! This is not the progressive mentality Africans need , it is a lose/lose option.
I strongly believe that any pressure to force a dictator to relinquish power, no matter where it is coming from should not be compromised. Any African dictator who is forced out of power brings a smile to at least one hopeless African. Africa's future rests not on this cream of dictators! They are of no use! They can't bring the momentum Africa needs to move from its present inertia to a more progressive track, comparable to the South East Asian boom. The talk about African unity remains a fictional gaffe, except these greedy autocrats quit. The Biyas, Obiang Nguemas, Bongo, Qhaddhaffis, Hosnis,Mugabes, El Bashirs, Kibakis etc can not execute any African vision.
Worst still, today a new precedence is being set for these African autocratic oligarchs to die in power- Compromise Politics-The tendency to use whatever means possible to rig Presidential elections in order to claim victory, and later yield to pressure from other fellow African dictators to form a government of national unity by sharing power with your presidential challenger. This is the new trend African dictators are adopting to stay in power forever. It happened in Kenya a few months ago, it is happening in Zimbabwe now, and surely it will happen to other African nations. If this trend continues, Africa is doomed for everlasting stagnation, and any vision for Africa in a conceivable future is just an illusion.
Any government or executive leadership that cannot be changed by generally accepted means designed by its people is not democratic. This is the bedrock of democracy, and all other things are secondary! Therefore, such a government or executive leadership that resist change by a consensus process predetermined freely by the people themselves and done at an accepted time frame, is a dictatorship. It is as simple as that!
The agenda and motive of anybody who aspires for the post of President can only be judged by the people. If they vote him to power in a free and fair election, that is their business. The truth is that if the system is democratic then the people can still usher him out when his mandate expires. African politics has not moved from person-centred politics to system-centred politics. We still believe individual rulers solely hold the key to a nation's destiny, just like a faithful dog looks up to his master daily to determine its fate. This is as a result of the ethnocentric tendency of African culture . The only way forward for any African leap is to adopt a system-based leadership- where political and economic systems
are put in place to ensure basic continuity irrespective of who sits in the system-controlled executive seat. In such a system, dictators cannot be glorified, Oligarchs who rule their country infinitely cannot be hailed. Incumbents who rig elections with impunity will not be welcome in the African leadership family. This is the kind of Africa we wish for, where we dwell in the realm of the 'good, better and best' situation.
God save Africa!

Honorable Ayah is proving to be a force to reckon with. I have never understood why he joined the CPDM. Is he trying to change the party from within just like Jean Jacques Ekindi was trying to do some years back and failed; OR is he just the man, political critic Neba-Fuh described as:

Southern Cameroons -The Way forward
By Neba-Fuh
The Southern Cameroons issue is one of the most important minority rights problems in the 21st century, but also the least activated as well. It is like a laboring woman who is not giving birth. We have all been caught up in the cozy confines of rhetoric, thinking that the solution will solely spring up from without.
The notion that, someone should do something about everything everyone thought anyone could do anything anytime about it, is stagnating the cause. The recent reaction by the declared Head of the Restoration Government of Southern Cameroons-Prof Carlson Anyangwe is an insightfully inciting piece intended to bridge inspiration to perspiration . How many are ready to cross that bridge, is the crux of the matter?
Without much consideration of the Prof Anyangwe's present portfolio as the declared Head of the Restoration Government, there is no gainsaying that this don has the moral authority to galvanize the Southern Cameroons populace to action. He has been steadfast in his convictions and beliefs concerning the Southern Cameroons struggle, even against all odds.
Without belaboring the course which this cause has undertaken, starting from the 1961 plebiscite fiasco through the Federation and Unitary era with La Repulique, concluding with 1984 decree by Mr Biya annulling the unitary status, Southern Cameroonians have been slaves in their own homeland. A people's identity erased, rights subdued, heritage hijacked, commonwealth exploited, values degraded. A people considered aliens in their own land.
It is out of these frustrations that the common struggle of the Southern Cameroons emerged and which has even been championed at some point by the very champions who were involved in the initial 1961 fiasco-Dr Foncha and Mr Muna before their passing on, just to name this two.
It should also be noted that it's not just mere coincidence that key players to the launching of the Social Democratic Front(SDF) in the 90s were advocates of the Southern Cameroons struggle. It wasn't also an act of naivety that most of those 'Founding Fathers' left the Front when they realized that the intents and goals set out initially were being thwarted. The All Anglophone Conference (AAC I &II) took its turn, with many of its then advocates and organizers backsliding at a later stage. The creating of SCNC, SCYL,SCAPO etc are all outfits that the Southern Cameroons struggle has put on or is putting on. Most recently and not the least are weblogs dedicated to the struggle.
Therefore it is an act of self denial for any person born of Southern Cameroons decent to deny the existence of the problem. Even for those who cannot accept the problem publicly, let them not also denounce or condemn it publicly.
The call by the Head of the Restoration Government to move from inspiration to perspiration is an opportunity for us to reflect on the undiscussed problems that have generated a lot of apathy in some Southern Cameroonians to engage fully in the struggle.
1) The problem of numbers: Citizens of the Northern zones have always outnumbered those of the Southern zones numerically(in terms of population), and the fear is that any election held in the future state of Southern Cameroons will tend to tilt to the North, since most citizens have still not minimized their tribal stereotype. This could lead to a political dominance- a problem that citizens of the resource- rich Southern zones are not overlooking.
2) The influence of the Oligarchy of La Republique by using quislings of Southern Cameroonian origin to always manipulate the poverty stricken citizens of Southern Cameroons not to yield to any liberation call is a problem, not to underestimate.
3) The problem of Anglophones who are not of Southern Cameroonian origin who have invested a great deal in Southern Cameroons should be looked into.
4) The issue of Southern Cameroonians who have invested heavily in La Republique and who are lukewarm to the struggle because of fear that they may lose their investments or businesses on the other side of the Moungo.
5) The problem of information, communication -media coverage, and sensitization on the cause at home and abroad.
6) The multiplicity of factions in the Southern Cameroons cause, is a serious setback. We can't stand divided. A unified force should be the prerequisite for an effective struggle.
7) Clearly defined plans of action: Is it boycott or engagement? If we choose boycott of issues and businesses involving La Republique, then we must study the possibility of success using this approach, the effects and how sustainable the struggle can go on with such an option.
If we choose to engage head-to -head with La Republique, then we should be involved in any struggle geared towards regime change in Yaounde and how an annihilation of the unpopular personality cult that Biya inherited from the Ahidjo era can pave a way for the Southern Cameroons issue be put on the table. To imagine that La Republique has constantly despised the Southern Cameroons cause is exacerbating and leaves room for extreme options.
What about passive resistance? What actions will be carried out to make it effective. How often? How do we drag along 'fence-sitters'? How to avoid violence when it is not intended.
8) Where to carry out demonstrations? At home and Abroad? What about choosing a week each year when Southern Cameroons in the diaspora will mobilize, come home and take part in peaceful demonstrations? A Southern Cameroons week- preferably during holidays when most of them can take their leaves. Asylum seekers can troop in through neighbouring countries-Nigeria , Gabon, Chad etc especially those who cannot arrive directly in La Republique's airports because of Asylum restrictions . That will be real sacrifice and an opportunity to commune with citizens at home for a common struggle. How much fulfilling can it be if it is for a higher cause, like the Southern Cameroons struggle.
9)Funds: No struggle or revolution comes to fruition easily without money. This is where citizens from the diaspora should be of great help.
10)Diplomacy: Any struggle for self determination becomes easily acceptable and draws more sympathy from friendly nations of Southern Cameroons if much diplomacy takes place, especially as the struggle has never taken a relatively continuous violent turn which could have drawn unsolicited attention from the international community . The UN role has not been preemptive to forestall a potential violent scenario even though the Southern Cameroons issue is no news to this body.
It is my fervent wish that the call by the declared leader of the Restoration Government of Southern Cameroons, Prof Carlson Anyangwe to all citizens ''...to hold themselves ready to execute the commands of the Restoration'' is not just one of those vocal jerks that has perpetually kept this cause in a state of coma. When decisions on actions and the constitution are drafted, the above points and many others which have not been mentioned, should be meticulously studied.
Any call to citizens will yield fruits if these petty interests and worries are taken care of. One can not over emphasize the sacrifices many devoted citizens from both the Northern zones and the Southern zones have undertaken this far with regards to the Southern Cameroons struggle.
Let's keep folding up our sleeves for there is still much work to do.
Some SCNC Activists Detained, Tortured

The Problem Of Leadership, Vision In Anglophone Cameroon
By Nfamewih Aseh Although it is often said that the type of leadership a people have is always equal to them, the reverse is even truer in that a leadership that lacks vision can compromise the historical development of its people. And Southern Cameroons has had its fair share of a visionless ...
