what a wonderful book! i make quilts, but am pretty novice with everything else. i'd love to learn more techniques! there are quite a few things i know my daughter would love! (maybe i could teach her too)

i just want to say that you look AMAZING after just having a newborn (and a mama of 5!!!). SUCH a cool photo. i love that you are wearing a skirt!! we have so many bees in our backyard (kinda scary sometimes! my son has been stung twice), and i wish i knew where their hive was...i'd be eating it up to keep my weed allergies at bay.

i often look up and find my kids in the same room as me. out of all the rooms they can be in, they chose to hang out where i am. as much as i love solitude, i adore this fact. I hope it's always so.

i guess i'm not the only one who this really spoke to :) I follow your blog regularly, tara, and this post hit me right where i am. i have been thinking on this a lot lately, and it was good to hear it from someone who is a few years ahead. Your words were beautifully perfect.

the print!! it makes it reversible, and i always like a good print for a back. the tan seems too bland. Or maybe another solid color on back if you don't want the print? maybe a solid green or pink or...? what is her fav color?
