These quilts are lovely! The tight color palettes are so pretty--I can imagine a stack of these created over the years and your girls picking out their favorite to take back to college. I have to say also, I'm happy to see your weekly-ish blog posts. I follow you on IG and always find so much fun content in your stories but I like reading these posts with more of your thought process. Have a wonderful holiday season!
a tale of two christmas quilts.
In 2016 and 2017 I sewed two 45x60 inch Christmas quilts! I love pulling them out each year and wanted to share more photos and details here in case they may inspire your own quilting this season. My 2016 quilt is a standard equilateral triangle quilt. My triangles were 5 inches high. There ...
Hey MJ! What a wonderful Mother's Day. I love the chalkboard menu and the food looks delish!
happy days
i know i'm late to the party here... ...but since i had a blog lapse during the months of may & june... ...i just wanted to share our happy mother's & father's day. mr. M really outdid himself. i get to lounge in bed on mother's day while i hear footsteps & tinkering around. sometimes i get bre...
I just got an old typewriter from my dad he had out in his barn--he had gotten it from a company he had worked for. It's from the late 60's/70's, huge and heavy. It took me forever to clean it up. I did a Google search on the model I have and there was some obscure website that had a scanned copy of the original owner manual. I was able to disassemble most of the typewriter to get all the gunk out. And I ordered a new ribbon off Amazon!
estate sale findings
so as some of you might know i've been on the hunt for a vintage typewriter for quite awhile now. i talked about it in my aspirations for 2015 here. i've seen a ton i liked but the price never spoke to me. well my cousin spotted one in the preview pictures of a local estate sale. so guess wh...
Happy belated St. Patrick's Day! I don't celebrate this day either but I did wear green today! I sent you a message via FB about getting together for lunch. Let me know. Can't wait to see you. xoxo
a rash of good luck
happy st. patrick's day everyone! {image compliments of the graphics fairy} our family is not irish and we don't particularly celebrate this holiday. however mr. M & i did indulge in a little bit of corn beef & cabbage for lunch today along with little miss M, who rather liked it for her firs...
That's a great word! My OLW for 2015 is see. Still trying that one out. I did sign up for Ali Edwards OLW class--I need the monthly reminder to myself. Your blog looks great and I've been enjoying reading all your decor posts. As part of my OLW, I want to make time to see old friends...I would love to get together for lunch sometime!
ACTIVE - my one little word for 2015
when i replaced my new year's resolutions with one little word years ago i also put it on paper to establish my commitment. i scrapbook a page about it 'cuz a} it's way more fun than just writing about it and b} it's what i was into when i started this. ACTIVE is my word for 2015. althoug...

It's probably from living in a rural sub-division that does it, but I love a good city. And London, it's a favorite. Since this is my third trip to London in eighteen months, I thought I would list (some of)... Continue reading

Her Royal Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Filed under "being-in-the-right-place-at-the-right-time", I was in Salisbury today with my mom and dad after a visit out to Stonehenge. As it turned out, the Queen was in Salisbury for a royal visit. I was... Continue reading

It's almost December. The year-end holidays have already begun and it's almost December. And that means, December Daily. I ordered the December Daily kit offered by Studio Calico; I received all the papers, embellishments, and trims but the American Crafts... Continue reading

Just a bit of housekeeping on the blog. I actually started a redo several months ago and got hung up on a bit of coding. Frustration set in and the blog was left alone. For a long time. But this... Continue reading

Lee, thank you so much for the kind words on your blog today! You have no idea how it made my day. I used Clinique lotion for years too, then switched to another line a couple years ago that offered more (cough, mumblig) anti-aging properties.I have several moleskine journals and while I love white towels at hotels, I really like colored towels at home but pristine white bed sheets.
five things | everyday luxuries
I liked this post and thought I would do the same thing. After all, imitation the highest form of flattery, right? Evalyn wrote about the five things that, though not necessities, make her life more enjoyable. I loved her list and it got me wondering about my own small luxuries. [half & half] ...
Hi Sharyn! Good to know that I am not alone with uncompleted projects! Love the new blog header.
unfinished projects
Raise your hand if you have unfinished scrapbooking projects. I'm over here, throwing both hands up in the air! I think most crafters have unfinished layouts and projects... and that this can be an unfortunate source of guilt or embarrassment. It's not always fun to admit that you didn't comple...
