And the hits against the critics of "The Cold Equations" keeps coming: A Delta flight was delayed 3 hours after a passenger managed to board without a ticket (DAL) October 6, 2019 "A Delta Air Lines flight was delayed about three hours on Saturday because a passenger managed to board without a ticket." "Delta Air Lines confirmed that the person was removed from flight 1516 to Atlanta, which was originally scheduled to leave at 10:20 a.m., because she did not have a ticket. All passengers aboard the flight as well as their luggage had to be re-screened by security personnel." In "The Cold Equations" there was no one onboard the spacecraft checking tickets before departure.

Since the hack announcement, there has been dis-information spread by 'eBay fanbois.' Here are the facts. 1) Fanbois have been saying ONLY "eBay customers' name, encrypted password, email address, physical address, phone number and date of birth" MAY HAVE BEEN taken. eBay INC clearly stated, "database, which was compromised between late February and early March, included eBay customers' name, encrypted password, email address, physical address, phone number and date of birth." eBay INC said "INCLUDED" and not "ONLY." Indicating those pieces of data AND other data was filched. Keep in mind eBay INC clearly stated the hackers gained access via "compromised employee log-in credentials." And "credentials" is plural, meaning multiple employee accounts were compromised. It is possible that the compromise to eBay INC internal areas accessible through multiple employee accounts, may be as extensive as the compromise to customer data. As a TONGUE IN CHEEK thought, were the hacked 145 million user accounts a diversion? Was eBay INC internal data the actual goal of the thieves? Was this an inside job? 2) Fanbois have been saying the NONE of the customer data posted recently is real. The article below, has an explanation for SOME of the eBay INC data on sale. Your eBay Password For Sale? How, Where And Why James Lyne Forbes, 23 May 2014 “In short, it’s a scam. A very well timed, clever scam that has everyone very excited.” However it appears the author did not check with any users on that list. Whereas elsewhere real data surfaced. U.S. states probe eBay cyber attack as customers complain Jim Finkleand, Karen Freifeld Reuters, 22 May 2014 “EBay’s Miller said the information was not authentic. Reuters spoke to six people whose phone numbers were included in that batch. While only four said they had eBay accounts, all of them said the data was correct” The James Lyne article ad could be one of many scammers, creating scams of the actual sample list Reuters investigated. The article continued, “which suggests they may have been victims of another data breach.” The question being, was that data from the February/March eBay INC database hack, or another hack, or compiled data from scammed/phished eBay INC users? For that matter, if that data is from another hack, what assurance do eBay INC users have that this other hack is not something more recent? To be continued?

Teen stowaway shows holes in vast airport security 22 April 2014 "Although the 15-year-old apparently wanted nothing more than to run away, his success in slipping past layers of security early Sunday morning made it clear that a determined person can still get into a supposedly safe area and sneak onto a plane." ""sometimes the actual results are quite underwhelming when it gets to the real world, where people are fatigued, people are preoccupied," said Richard Bloom, an airport security expert at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Arizona."
