Susie THIS right here is one of the many reasons I come to you day in day out is that you BREATHE LIFE INTO the death that can be style/vogue.com. You are so valid in this industry because of this. I don't think anyone has both the breadth and depth of knowledge that you have and I am so grateful to be able to read your opinions and uncover hidden gems thanks to it. A friend told me I would enjoy the Giles collection and until seeing this post I hadn't got it at all. This would have completely gone by without a glance because the main sites don't really photograph/cover the shows well enough. OK no more gushing from me.

Ummmm my dad (the barrister) wears these on a daily basis. I've wanted to steal one for years now if he mysteriously is missing one I can say you influenced me!

John's being very clever here supporting his daughter like this. I agree this isn't nepotism I think it's exactly what anyone would do in John's situation but it's not entirely one sided. His daughters cool designs are re-igniting his own so it's win win for everyone! Sooooo glad to see closeups of those shoes, hope the Rocha's get on the e-commerce train sooner than later!

I like this! Reminds me of a triceratops. Deff had a feeling you'd go for the pink though!

Damn your leather bottoms collection is unparalleled! I wonder why they all have such lovely big pockets?

Obviously have to say how much I love all the pleats please you've been wearing as of late ;). That aside, this outfit and the DIY everything about this post seems like a release from the tension of what happened. Back to the happy bubble :D!

I think you're both doing a much better job at dealing with what happened then I could ever do. I'd think that turning into a Jane Austen character might actually be a plus? Either way I understand the prozacian benefits of a jolt of fun colour and a good whiff of leather. Thoughts are with you guys.

Have to say the best part of travelling to Asia is the outlet mall potential (ok not THE best part but certainly one of the top 10). When I think about the colours that rep you best it is this combo and the mint green light orange combo so I think you did pretty damn good! Think about it this way, Mt Fuji will always be there, SS08 Jil won't!

I had a feeling Kawaii meant more then just cute and I'm glad you were able to so clearly describe what it really means. Now I'm going to have difficulty not using it with everything I like. What are you eating? I want food pics haha!

Disrespectful my arse! The only way I could see either your or Carolyns outfits as disrespectful is the Breton stripes? But I'd consider that more hopeful then anything else (will Brits ever get along with the Frenchies? Only time will tell...).

You are literally one of two people I know who legitimately can wear those shoes. Just saying...

Damn Susie! Those shoes are 100% you! A girl who loves a chunky heel but hates chunky cheese. This must be your lucky Irish post, a free LV jacket that looks serenely stunning and a pair of go anywhere shoes designed specifically with you in mind! Anastasia is one of the main reasons I'm applying to Cordwainers. I hope one day to meet her and mine her brain for nuggets of info regarding heel construction and the other insane experimental things she has done to create her designs.

I only got to see Pam's collection but one of my faves of the week had to be Jeremy's! I always love the atmosphere that the clothes create, the real raw lived-in quality of this clothes. "I'm sure you'd have fashion bitches wanting to invent ways of physically slapping other fash bitches' faces HARD over the internet." - This quote is now responsible for my drink being all over my keyboard. Thanks so much!

This is exactly how a sponsored post should be! Well done Susie for navigating a tricky corridor and coming out with something quite charming and genuine. The bags are totally you and your aesthetic and its pretty clever of the brand to realize this potential. Nice gifties!

And where will you be keeping all these gathered fashion week memorabilia? I'm especially interested in that Undercover Mirror, I can't believe you remember Sylvanian Families! I had an otter family that lived in a narrow boat (and My parents still were shocked when I came out?!)...

You know what? This strap looks farrrr sturdier than the strap that came with my dslr. Which btw snapped after only a few wears!? Terrible! Oh and I'm making a bag for my camera this semester. If it doesn't look too terrible I may even post it.

You know I think Burberry has lost it, Aquascutum all the way! This was literally the only thing I picked up on and tbh I felt it looked very vintage looking... Still think that it looks great despite its questionable inspiration (and price tag!)

“Yup, I have five items on along with a hat… and some chunky socks… and pointy shoes. Laugh if you wish. I don’t really give a shit.” I think I need a tattoo of this. What was your view of the menswear that was new to them? I loved that (unlike the majority of menswear lines started by womenswear designers) it wasn't just an after thought and could really stand tall and proud next to the womens clothes. I guess what comes after Comme Des Garcons (post-modernism) are the post-comme designers haha.

I literally watched a Sundance Channel documentary on Hubert de Givenchy and he was talking about Balenciaga in the 60's and the film was interspersed with many photos and videos of both designers work from that time so I'm glad you got those references pronto! I do like the neon-futuro injection that Raf's take on those now classic yet uber modern shapes have. I think this collection would be more the Bubble ski wardrobe than any real trophy skiiers wife wardrobe, just because I think they tend to veer more towards Juicy Couture then Jil Sander. Lets make this happen!

Honestly Susie you sort of had me double take there. Susie Bubble and Dolce? Who would have thought your aesthetic translated so well?! Those windows look like a very Dolce version of your normal outfit posts. I reckon they should hire you as their stylist on a more permanent basis. Inject some Bubble whimsy into their normally tacky chic collections and I'll start paying attention. Bravo!

YAY Susie I finally got to read a post of yours fully! Mary's collection this season was clearly one of the stand outs. I'm so glad you got to see the stuff up close backstage because I have been mistaking the prints as something from greco-roman mosaics! Shock and horror in deed! Especially considering the amount of these ceramics lying around my home in London! I'm emailing your post to my mother right now who I'm sure is going to love it! YAY for Mary and Susie's photos/writing! PS: glad you took the training wheels off LFW :P

I can't tell you how much I enjoyed seeing this post. I used to make little imaginary cities out of my stationary in school (I really was in a weird world of my own...) and I love the idea of bringing this forward into my adult life. I'm sure you remember the whole Stationary Village scene in The Mighty Boosh. Brilliant http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-gvZEB4s3-Y .
