A Move...
Hi all! I have been working for some time on a big move, and since it's almost complete I wanted to make sure everyone knew the best place to find me. FineandFeathered.co is where I am posting now! Soon enough fineandfeathered.me (this URL) will redirect to there, however if you... Continue reading

Thankful
What would you do if you woke up and only had the things you were thankful for the day before? This past Sunday I visited my sister's church with her and the pastor asked that question, and it really hit me. I usually think of myself as pretty thankful person,... Continue reading

3 Easy Thanksgiving DIYs to do this Weekend
Pumpkin Puree If you haven't made your own pumpkin puree from scratch before, you have to try! It's super easy, and so tasty. Don't have a food processor? No problem, I use my little ninja blender and just do it in smaller batches. The best part is how pumpkin-y your... Continue reading

F21 Sweater / Vintage Gap Denim Jacket / Nine West Boots / Free People Socks / UO Necklace / Thrifted Bag Isn't it funny how fall has a way of making you slow down and think about things. I find myself thinking more even about silly little things, like what to wear. Summer is all about thro...

Late Summer Vegetable Galette
I'm a hardcore pie lover. I love a good flakey crust, and really love to change things up and make a savory one every once and a while, and galettes are one of my favorite ways to shake things up. If you're not already familiar, don't be intimidated, galettes are... Continue reading

Three ways to Disconnect
These last few years I feel like I've seen a lot of people on two sides of the work force, those that put their head down and work till they're sore, and those that do just enough to get by in their jobs. On that rare occasion you can find... Continue reading

Oh my gosh, you're too sweet. Thank you Grace!
Honey Peach Iced Tea
Ahhhhhhhgust. That's kind of how August always makes me feel. I totally freak out when I flip the calendar and see that page. We're already near the end of summer, how can that possibly be? All the sudden every weekend is spent trying to pack in as much "summering" as possible. Quick trips to...
Thanks so much Shaine!
4 Ways to style a Bandana
Who doesn't love pieces that can do double (or triple..) duty? I'm all about it. Especially if you're traveling, those chameleon pieces can be life savers. Bandanas have been my favorite go-to for a while now! They're super lightweight and can be worn so many different ways! My favorites? H...

This is great. I am totally guilty of writing long rambly emails when I'm asking for a favor, and have been trying to be really conscious of it lately and keep this concise! Nothings worse then reading a crazy long email with no pay off on top of it!

Blog Q&A: Networking Etiquette
We're back with another Blog Q&A from our new series. If you missed the first two, you can find them here. Today's question is about making online friends and networking, and it comes from a Blog Life student. She asks: "I just read through the section on networking: "friends first, networking ...
I know! Once you start wearing them though, they're totally addicting! I actually have to tell myself to wear other accessories sometimes:)

Sunday Lovely Sunday // Clad & Cloth
Can we talk real quick about my newest obsession? I just stumbled across Clad & Cloth and am completely and utterly smitten! The denim, the plaid, the loose dresses, it all screams to me. And they're styling has me feeling transported into some magical Pinterest board. I am totally eyeing... Continue reading

Hi Annette! The copper portions are the ring around the top of the smaller one on the left in the top photo, as well as the diagonal portion on the left hand side of the right pot. The copper color is not the vibrant copper that you may be used to, as it's a "hammered" textured copper. Hope this helps you!
Have a great day!
Simple Copper Planter DIY
To say I love my little plants may be a bit of an understatement. Through the winter months they carry me, and keep me smiling some days. I love having the inside of our house overflowing with greenery, even when the rest of the world feels bleak. The last few plants I've collected over the p...
Hi Sharon! The end result is that first photo, with the pots already painted. Sorry for any confusion you may have had.

Lavender Eucalyptus Bath Salts DIY
On chilly nights, after a long day, I love sinking into a hot bath. This has actually been a recent indulgence of mine. I've never been a "bath person" per-se, but this winter that's all changed. I experimented around Christmas with making my own bath salts to give as gifts,... Continue reading

Snow Day Favorites
Happy snow day! Since the northeast is getting pummeled by blizzard Jonas, I'm experiencing a very rare, and very appreciated, snow day! I thought it would be fun to share some of my snow day favorites. Some outfits, recipes, and some crafts too, just in case you're also snowed in... Continue reading

Chicken Sausage and Tortellini Soup

4 Tips for living with Kitchens with no storage
It's hard to believe that we've been in our house for over two years. It kind of feels like we just moved in, but memories of living elsewhere also feel so distant at this point. Both the house, and the apartment that we had lived in before we bought ours... Continue reading

Healthy(ish) Blueberry Muffins
So let's just get something straight here. I am not living in denial, I know that a healthy muffin is basically an oxymoron. Or at least, any muffin that tastes vaguely good and you try to consider "healthy" is an oxymoron. Since we got that out of the way can... Continue reading

Hello 2016
I feel like every year I'm caught completely off guard by the new year. 2016? Whatever do you mean? It was just Thanksgiving like two days ago. It can't be, you're wrong. I haven't sat down and made any long lists of things to do this year. That's not because... Continue reading
