Thank you so much! Lisa, yes we do have wool flannel, and we will most definitely be stocking it online once we have that all set up. Thanks for asking! :) xx
The Drapery
Um, cough, hello? It's been a very long time in between posts. Too long! But I just wanted to pop in and say hi. Like lots of us, I've been wondering if blogs are even still alive - what with Instagram and Pinterest and the other squillion ways that we all keep in touch now. But it's wor...
Thank you so much, Toni! We have your beautiful book here in store. Hope you are well. x

Yes, Camilla! The one we go to is in Summertown, not far from Ashton, so possibly the same one. We were only there last weekend and there were still quite a few trees with fruit. It was nice & quiet too. :)
she's apples
(excuse the phone photos) One of my favourite wholesome-type family things to do is fruit picking. Call me easily pleased, but the combination of fresh air, happy kids and take-home bounty is pretty much a winner in my eyes. So apple picking has become a yearly ritual for us. We were a little...

Hi, Nell - thanks! We are sure to meet one day. Hope you're enjoying the book! xx
summer
Well. I didn't intend to make that such an long break from blogging. But, you know, once you get out of the habit it's difficult to get started again. I've done a fairly pitiful job of documenting this holiday season, but the past weeks can be summed up, in part, by these few words and photo...
Hi Camilla! Where do I start with Adelaide craft/art blogs? There are so many wonderful ones... Carly (neststudio.typepad.com) and Amy (umbrellabella.blogspot.com) and their Umbrella Prints blog (umbrellaprints.blogspot.com), Jane (lempobee.blogspot.com) and Fiona (fededesigntextiles.blogspot.com.au) and Naomi (naomimurrell.blogspot.com) and Gillian - who has a list of locals on her blog, too (sewknitlaughlove.blogspot.com.au) and Leah (hyena-in-petticoats.blogspot.com) and Nell who has commented below. I know there are more I am forgetting, but these fantastic women are the first that spring to mind on this Monday morning. Happy reading! xx

Thank you all! Kayanna & Adriana - hi! - I'm not really sure yet, it all depends on if Penguin groups from the US/UK take the book up. My fingers are crossed. :)
it's here!
Today my book hits the shops! Up above are pictures of three of my favorite projects from its pages. The monkey is an oldie that I hadn't written the pattern for until now (if you have read my blog for a while you might possibly remember previous incarnations of him from way back in 2006!...

whole lotta quilt
This quilt has been in use for a few weeks now, so it is high time I blogged about it. I've said lots already about this, based on the one from Lotta's Handmade Living. It was a heavy beast to quilt, as I suspected it would be, so I just went down the wonky horizontal lines route which led to ...

Hi Deborah, I've emailed you back. The seam allowance is included - cut along the line, and sew your seam 1/4 inch under that. Cheers, Fiona.
poppy doll pattern
Thanks to everyone who has emailed recently about the doll pattern I've been working on. Finally, it's ready. Twelve pages of patterns and directions to make a doll like these, plus two different smocks/dresses and a pair of trousers. I decided to go down the PDF route, and it is available righ...
